Climb aboard the iconic Intrepid aircraft carrier and learn all about the history of sea, air, and space ventures. View historic artifacts, interact with engaging exhibits, watch intriguing videos, and marvel at the numerous exhibits. While at the museum, guests can explore Aircraft Carrier Intrepid, the Space Shuttle Pavilion, Submarine Growler, and British Airways Concorde.

Can I take photos or film while at the museum?
Personal cameras and video are allowed, however, selfie-sticks (or any other camera-extension devices) and professional equipment including the use of tripods are not.
Are there any specific closures at the Museum?
Yes, the following are dates that certain exhibits might not be available at the Museum.
5/25 - Flight Deck/Space Shutte Pavillion closes at 3pm.
5/26 - Explorium Hall closed all day, and entire museum closes at 3pm.
6/9 - Museum closing at 3pm.
9/15 - Flight Deck and Space Shuttle Pavillion closes at 3pm.
10/24 - Explorium hall closed all day.
How much time will it take me to view all of the exhibits in the Museum?
For the full Intrepid experience, expect to spend 2-3 hours at the museum.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
Since the Intrepid is a National Historic Landmark, most, although not all, of the museum is accessible by wheelchair. Areas not accessible by wheelchair include the Fo’c’s’le, Combat Information Center, Growler submarine, and Concorde. All restrooms and dining areas are accessible, as well the flight deck, hangar deck, and mess deck.
Are there shopping and dining areas at the museum?
Yes. A retail shop is available in the Space Shuttle Pavilion. Food trucks are available on the pier and vending machines are both on the pier and the flight deck.
