"Not safe for single women traveling alone"

If you are a single woman traveling alone, DO NOT stay at W Hotel. A man was roaming the hallways and knocked on our hotel door and exposed himself. W staff kicked him out without calling the police. The guy is at large now.

"They dont deliver"

Have stayed four nights at this hotel over two different trips in August 2025. Booked the wow suite each time. Room is nice (not worth $1k per night) with great views. They do not always honor the 4pm check in though. They also charge $40 daily destination fee which includes a W branded gift for Bonvoy Gold, Platinum, and Titanium member. Im Titanium and never received such - they owe me 4 of them. So be careful with what they promise as they do not deliver. Lastly, this is Times Square so expect it be very noisy even if you are on the 50th+ floor.

"The W is a failure"

We spent 2 nights at the W in Times Square. Location was good. On first glance the room was fine. Then I noticed dust at least an inch thick on the a.c.vent. I looked around and found prior guests receipts under the bed. The bathroom floor was dirty. At the price we paid, it should have been immaculate. The noise from the street was annoying & loud. We were on the 29th floor! I have been in lots of Marriott’s and this one was bad. I don’t recommend to anyone. This is a must miss.

I had a great stay at the W. Great by the service was the best especially the warm welcome and exceptional service by Yara, who is a gem and no doubt an ASSET to the business. She deserves a bonus

"Rude and careless staff"

The hotel didn’t disclose that there was an extremely noisy construction going on throughout the night. I am aware that it is at Times Square but one should be notified if heavy machinery is used through the night. When I contacted the concierge he was very rude and kept insisting that it is beyond the hotel’s control even though they were aware of it. This was the behavior unsuitable for a motel, let alone for Bonvoy, which I have been using for ages.
