Just Great! We were there to celebrate a birthday. I let David Almada, concierge, know ahead of time. We were blown away at what he was able to do for us. Our room looked out over times square. There was a dozen balloons. Later, another surprise, prosecco and cake. The hotel location is perfect; steps from all the action. The staff was consistently engaging and positive. The gym is very good. Just an awesome time.

We have stayed at the W Times Square many times throughout the years, at the very least once a year when visiting NYC. We love the location because we are very central to many of the sights and sounds when we went to be immersed in it, and it's walkable to quieter areas as well. We like that we don't have to rely on taxis and ride shares much because traffic can be brutal. This review is about our most recent trip. The check in process was quite quick. The check in desk and Living Room bar area are in the same area, which can be quite the shock for some guests checking in later at night on the weekend. We were informed that the destination fee inclusions had changed since our last visit as well. We were a bit disappointed with this change, but it didn't put a damper on our trip. The rooms are looking a bit dated at the W Times Square and although clean, really need a renovation as there's only so much that can be taken care of by the cleaning staff. They tend to be the smaller side, but given the location, we understand. Although you're in the middle of the hustle and bustle, we do enjoy the fact that we don't hear much of it. The walls shared with neighbors are a different story however. It's a structural thing, but you can definitely hear when you have loud neighbors. Thankfully on this trip, that wasn't the case. We love hanging out at the W's Living Room bar around happy hour time and the bartenders make amazing cocktails. Don't miss it! The staff at the W are very nice and the staff on the ground floor of the hotel have great hospitality and are eager to help out. Overall, we had another nice stay at the W Times Square. It is in need of a renovation, but once it does, it will shine even brighter!

We found the hotel poor value for money, and lacking in amenities. Rooms and corridors have seen little investment in recent years. Busy and noisy location. We had to ask for a coffee maker in our room, apparently that is not normally available if you are paying a corporate rate (?!). Room service and restaurants all closed as I arrived at 9pm one evening, due to a problem with the kitchen (did receive a credit for the inconvenience).

Location is excellent if you have no problem of staying right in the city centre. Car traffic could be an issue as there is often heavy traffic in the area. Compare to other W, this is probably one of the very first generation and staying as it is. Lobby and bar are too dark. Interesting, rooms are using very cold florescente tubes, something common in the 70s. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is OK but water pressure could be better.
