"NO PICTURES, TOUR RAN LATE (MISSED FERRY)"

First and foremost, I am a local New Yorker, with a lot of visitors from out of state/country so I am always looking for tour companies for our guests. I would have given this tour 5 stars and a recommendation to friends/family if I had received the photos I paid for. My tour was Saturday at 2:15pm and was told they would be emailed to me “soon”. I waited 24 hours then called at 2:15pm. The automated message advised to submit my inquiry via text which I did, however, I did not receive a response, pic attached. Another hour later, I called again and reached a guy who said he would look into it, pic attached. It is currently 5:40pm and still no response. However, I have received 3 requests to leave a review, so I am. It’s a shame because the tour guides were GREAT (Curtis and Thomas), HOWEVER, a different employee (guy) allowed two people to arrive late even though the website AND confirmation emails are very clear about the 30 minutes-prior requirement. The rest of us were already in wetsuits and lifejackets, sitting in the sun, ready to go. The two individuals showed up 23 minutes late and were allowed to complete their registration and waiver (which they did not complete prior to arriving late), as well as get into wetsuits, which took a considerable amount of time since the rest of our group (6 people) were able to get down to the dock and receive the safety instructions before they casually strolled down to join us. This delay caused us to miss the ferry by 5 minutes so we had to wait an HOUR for the next one, which was such a waste of precious time because our son is here visiting from college so this was a very special trip for us but this has dampened the experience with your company. I wasn’t planning on bringing any of this to light until I did not receive the photos we paid for. Such a shame.

What an incredible experience. My husband and I had an absolute blast! A must when visiting New York city. Our tour guides were Justin and Zac and they were brilliant. They explained everything to us perfectly and Justin took amazing photos of us at all the sights. We got close ups in front of the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. We had to amend our booking time last minute and the owner Adam couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating our request. Top tip: the faster you go, the easier you glide over the waves lol. Thanks so much Sea the City for an experience of a lifetime :) Jamie and Rachel

Amazing experience, a great way to see the city! Curtis and Cali were great guides and very informative on how to use the jet skis for first timers. My friend had to switch jet skis with Cali and it was an easy switch. Would definitely recommend for anyone, jet skis easy to use

Frequently Asked Questions about Jet Ski NYC

Where do I meet for the tour?
Meet at Liberty Landing Marina. Parking is available on-site. Come down “D” dock and Sea the City is at the end of the dock by the white house with the large red “fuel” sign.

What is the minimum age to go on a jet ski tour?
The minimum age to operate a jet ski is 18 years old. You must be 16 or older to ride along with your parent or legal guardian.

Do I need jet ski experience to enjoy the tour?
No. Jet skis are very simple to operate and comfortable to drive. Our licensed instructors give a short safety briefing before we depart and are always close by while out on the water. The first few minutes are within a no wake zone (5 mph speed limit) where you will get the feel of it before you start to accelerate out in the open water.

Is there a place for customers to change before the tour?
Yes. The marina has facilities to change or use the restroom.

Are lockers available or is there a place to keep our belongings?
Yes. We provide a free and secure space to lock up your belongings. You DO NOT need to provide your own lock.

Will the tour run in the rain?
Rain is not the only weather that can prevent us from being able to take a tour out. Weather and water conditions can be dangerous even if it appears to be a beautiful day out. If the weather or water conditions are unsafe we will reschedule your tour. We do not always know in advance, so please if you are concerned about the conditions give us a call and ask.

Is there a tour guide?
Yes. We provide only guided tours. Our licensed guides are on their own jet ski, while you drive another. A tour consists of a group of several jet skis which stay within a reasonable distance to the guide.

How many people can ride a jet ski?
We will allow 1 or 2 people on one jet ski, provided the combined weight of the riders is under 350 pounds, although it is easier to maneuver with one person on a jet ski.

Can we switch riders during the tour?
If both individuals are 18 years of age or older, yes.

What should I wear?
We highly recommend wearing your bathing suit. During the colder months, we offer complimentary wetsuits and water boots available for anyone that would like them.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. It is a requirement that all individuals participating sign a waiver. A waiver will be emailed to each participant for electronic signature prior to your tour.

Is there a weight limit for the jet skis?
Yes. The combined weight of riders must not exceed 350 lbs.

How fast can I go on a jet ski?
Jet skis can get up to 55 mph. We only ask you stay within sight of your tour guide.

Do I need to wear a life vest?
Yes. Both tour operators and guests must wear life vests.

What if I fall off the jet ski?
If you should fall off, the emergency cut off switch will disable the PWC and your life vest will keep you afloat while you reboard from the rear of the jet ski.
