We arrived at the hotel having booked two rooms, unfortunately they couldn’t give us the same floor so my fiancée and myself were on the 8th floor and daughter was on the 52nd floor. Waking early the next morning we went to obtain some more coffee as we had finished what was provided by the hotel. In the reception we meet the night concierge William who help with the coffee situation, my fiancée noticed a spin the wheel game and William offered her a free spin. On doing so she managed to win a late checkout. William then proceeded to say we can do better than that and asked what floor we were on, we explained the situation and he then got on the phone to his manager and asked if we could be upgraded free of charge. And he did, so now we are on the 54th floor in a corner superior suite with amazing views over the 9/11 memorial and the financial district. William went above and beyond to help and we can’t thank him for making our already fantastic stay into an amazing one. William thank you so much for your time, effort, and dedication to your role. We will definitely be returning to the hotel and will tell any of our friends who would like to stay here to just ask for William.

After reading many reviews I got a little scared and was about to cancel my reservation, but reading more into the reviews I got a sensation that the complaints weren’t that serious. Yes- the phone didn’t work (didn’t bother us, we just asked for whatever we needed in reception on our way out or in). Yes the breakfast area is either reception or your room, also not a problem, we went down every morning to select exactly what we liked! Rooms very very clean, all staff were always lovely and helpful! Special shout out to William who kept my husband company in the middle of the night when our baby wouldn’t sleep and even gave us freebies to make the stay even more pleasant- exceptional service!!! The only negative thing was that the baby crib was not prepared when we arrived (was requested while booking) and had to ask twice for it, but hey not the end of the world as we got it in the ends :) Views absolutely amazing! Location excellent,perfectly connected to the rest of the city and plenty of shops and places to eat around! I usually wouldn’t stay in the same place if I visit the city again as I like to try new things and places, but would seriously consider staying here again when back in NYC! Thank you for great customer service!

The hotel itself is good, but the reception call service is disappointing — the automated bot doesn’t address requests, forcing me to come down and speak to staff directly. There’s no microwave or guest lounge to make up for missing in-room amenities. Also, the room lighting is controlled by a motion sensor and switches off too frequently, requiring me to manually turn it back on each time. Overall, decent stay but service and amenities could be much better.
