"BEWARE!!! NO AIR CONDITIONING & Elevator layovers for all"

Worst hotel experience ever. The lobby is on the 4th floor. You have to take the elevator to 4, exit, walk down a hall, get on another elevator to get to your floor. They had 1 of 3 elevators working which meant you waited 15-30 minutes everytime for a ride. Windows on the outside are filthy and haven’t been cleaned in some time. If you travel with only a toothbrush you’re in luck because the bathrooms only have a sink, toilet shower/tub. Theres not even room for a mans shaving kit unless you’re accustomed to putting it on the toilet tank. No restaurant, bar, or commissary for incidentals, yet they put a hold on your credit card for $200 per day for incidentals. However, the worst of all is they’re a heat only hotel while they’re doing reconstruction, which means NO AIR CONDITIONING. The Millenium Hilton was my most frequented and favorite hotel in the past 25 years, unfortunately this group has spoiled what was once a clean, nice experience into renovation hell. They should’ve kept the place closed until they were ready to open.

"Disappointing and Misleading – Not What Was Advertised"

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience at the Millennium Downtown NYC. The hotel’s website paints a very different picture than reality. It claims to have a lobby, a restaurant, and a bar—none of which exist. In truth, it feels more like a stripped-down high-rise apartment building than a full-service hotel. The elevators were confusing, poorly marked, and had broken lights. There was no clear signage to guide guests, which made getting around incredibly frustrating. There is absolutely nowhere to eat on the premises—no room service, no snack bar, nothing. You’re entirely on your own for food and drinks, even bottled water, which is not what I expected from a hotel in this price range. Overall, it was a disappointing, borderline disorienting experience. I would not recommend staying here until they make serious improvements—or at the very least, update their website to reflect the truth.
