"Absolutely shocking New years cruise & appalling from City cruises to accept no responsibility"

$1200 New Year’s Eve Scam: Total Chaos, Zero Accountability Labeling this event as “luxury & Vip “ borders on false advertising. The only premium feature was the outrageous $600 -per-person price tag — for an experience that was disorganized, uncomfortable, and shockingly incompetent from start to finish. The failure began immediately. Guests were forced to stand outside in the cold for over an hour before boarding, i’d be amazed if people hadnt got frost bite as most were dressed up in Party clothes, with no communication or crowd control. Once inside, it became clear this was not a refined event but a poorly assembled, last-minute operation with zero elegance, zero comfort, and zero professionalism. To make matters worse, the vessel departed nearly an hour late with no explanation. The bathroom situation was nothing short of disgraceful. Two toilets for the entire boat. Two. The line never moved and never ended. Many guests spent midnight trapped in a restroom queue. For a $1200 event hosted on a commercial vessel, this is not just unacceptable — it’s indefensible. The bar was a complete farce. “Premium Included drinks” existed only in theory. Guests were limited to one drink at a time, served by a single bartender, creating yet another endless, soul-crushing line. You had to choose between waiting for a drink or waiting for the bathroom — both were a waste of the night. Drinks available were Stella out of a can, Cheap wine or cheap liqour none if the premium alll inclusive drink what you want. Food was equally pathetic. Cold & the chicken was Red inside , raw veg, low-quality ingredients, and barely enough, Nothing about the catering reflected a premium experience. People were having to eat standing up. The DJ repeatedly interrupted the music, making it nearly impossible to enjoy even the most basic party atmosphere, After the fireworks, the energy collapsed entirely. Guests rushed to leave immediately, clearly eager to escape rather than stay until the advertised end time. What is most shocking — and frankly shameful — is City Cruises’ response afterward. After numerous emails, they have accepted zero responsibility for the event. This is astonishing considering the vessel was theirs, the venue was theirs , The crew was theirs and the event took place entirely under their control. To charge $600 per person and then refuse accountability is not just unprofessional — it’s disgraceful. Please Avoid City cruises & city experiences- Shameful company. Final verdict: This was not a luxury New Year’s Eve celebration; it was an overpriced logistical failure run by a company unwilling to stand behind its own event. Endless lines, two insufficient bathrooms, one bartender, poor food, chaotic management, and a company that hides from responsibility afterward. If you are considering this event — do yourself a favor and avoid it without hesitation.

"Hornblower NYE joke"

What was labeled as luxury an unforgettable was certainly one of those things. Lined up outside for over an hour, once inside plastic tables and chairs spread out everywhere. Three toilets with a constant line that went through people’s tables. We left almost an hour late and once the fireworks stopped we headed back to the pier. First time I’ve seen people leave a party and drinks package before it finished. Drinks package was one drink per person at a time resulting in massive lines. In one area there was only one bartender. Food was cold and some of the vegetables still raw. Desserts were average but at least edible. Windows on the boat fogged up and were dirty so views were tarnished. The very top observation area of the boat was roped off but that didn’t stop some of the ships crew/security being up there for videos and photos. Whilst a party atmosphere is enjoyable on NYE a DJ constantly talking playing half tracks and scratching constantly really isn’t enjoyable for three hours. Don’t recommend, felt for the staff who had to deal with a poorly organised event that promised the world and was literally a joke. Only reason we enjoyed the night was because we made a joke of everything. Value for money - terrible Quality - poor I’m sure there is plenty of other venues or options available for $350 per person to enjoy NYE in NYC.
