This was our first time to NY for a specific event within walking distance. We travel often all over the world and some places that service was impeccable we have seen take a fall and some significant. Personally I noticed the ranking of this location and was on the fence from not knowing what to expect despite its strong brand. We traveled as a family for my business event and this experience was meaningful. From the time we booked, concierge stayed engaged with us, especially for packages concerning dietary needs. Service from beginning to end was indeed 5 stars from the location to Cut by Wolfgang. Mr. Cayacy and his team inclusive of Vasha, Marisa and others showed care the entire time and checked by in on us once we arrived home. We had not issues with food, towels, room cleaning and the pool area was wonderful for our son to enjoy. This level of service has set the benchmark for us and a preference for this brand in our global visits. Thank you to Mr. Cayacy and his team for making our stay memorable and the team at Cut. Stayed at this hotel with some friends. Food was subpar the free madeleines they give are not made fresh they taste frozen. This I know because I asked, the room service attendant they stated they are made in house, but I have bought this brand St Pierre before from local markets. Secondly, we ordered salmon, and the fish tasted like they got it in fresh then froze it so much waterlogged in the fish. Also, we had some way past expired items in our mini bar for the room to cost what it does the experience should have been better. Lastly their Breakfast menu is horrible, only 3 bagel options and the bagels also taste frozen definitely not your traditional NYC bagel. Deep fried French toast is a greasy log. The chef definitely should consider re-thinking any menu items.

We booked a suite and a Hudson twin when we arrived they had changed our suite to a slightly bigger one . The twin room for the big kids and our youngest was going to stay in the suite on a rollaway. Having stayed in 5 Four seasons in the last 4 months, a rollaway in a suite has never been issue, and the request has always been met with a positive response and the bed has been delivered promptly or there before we arrive. Here it was a problem, the room had a sofa bed and they wanted him to sleep on it we do not they are never comfortable and it means the sofa would be out of use. We had to speak to at least 5 different people to arrange this, it took a couple of hours and a charge of $200 per day, we have never been charged for a rollaway in our 20 + stays in a Four Seasons. We were given many different reasons why we couldn’t have a rollaway and then told it was ok if we paid!! Turndown service doesn’t exist here you are just given water and ice. There is none of the dimming lights, closing curtains, replenishing bathroom items, leaving slippers out, etc. in fact house keeping often don’t replenish items. The rooms are modern and functional. The food on room service is of good quality. The staff on the door never ask if you need a taxi, or help with directions etc. There is no dedicated concierge, front desk staff seem to fill this role, you would expect a hotel like this to have a Clefs d’or concierge. There is nowhere to sit during the day or evening as a family and have a coffee or champagne there is no lobby lounge as such. Breakfast service is brusque and we left. We eat breakfast at all the other 5 star hotels instead. The bathroom is lovely but water pressure is poor. The service Four Seasons is famous for doesn’t exist here nor does the we can arrange virtually anything attitude. We will not return.
