Overview

Over the course of 4 exciting hours, this tour allows guests to dive into the ocean and swim with wild spinner dolphins, snorkel and see tropical fish in the Kealakekua reserve, and more. Accessed via a safe US Navy Seal boat, you’ll venture out into the crystal ocean water for an experience unlike any other. Along the way, you’ll learn more about Hawaii’s history and culture from our tour guides.

Description

Our deluxe morning dolphin swim excursion is basically two exciting tours in one! This 4-hour adventure takes you to sea in our super safe Willard Navy Seals boats to swim with wild spinner dolphins, to experience their energy and curiosity in interactions with humans. Following the dolphin swim, you will travel south to explore the sea caves along the Kona Coast, and go snorkeling in the calm waters of Kealakekua Bay Marine Reserve (and location of Captain Cook Monument), often called the best snorkeling spot in Hawaii, and only accessible by boat (or a very long hike). After exploring the colorful reef, you can relax aboard to enjoy a fruit platter, other snacks, and green tea, while learning about the historic and cultural background of this region. On our way back to Keauhou Bay, you may see other natural sea creatures such as whales (Humpbacks, in season), manta rays and sea turtles.

This tour is awesome. Bambi is a great local host who stands out as someone who actually grew up here along these shores. She is very kind, specially with kids. We did two tours with her over the past few years (the Manta rays and the dolphin tour) and both were great experience. She owns a small boat in a very good condition. Look no more if you’re looking for a tour that feels like a family excursion. She is lovely.

I would definitely book this again. It was a beautiful view of the Sunset and some of the big island. We saw goats and of course manta rays. They were friendly and full of knowledge. Loved that it was a smaller boat ended up only being me and my husband which was awesome. Also like that it’s a family business- highly recommend

It was lovely to be out on a small group tour; we were the only 4 on the tour! Bambi only takes small groups out. She took us to places to snorkel before the crowds came in and gave us some informative background knowledge of the local culture. Disappointingly, we did not see any dolphins or turtles.
