My kids and their friends did the zipline. There are 5 courses and they only made it through two. They enjoyed it, but there was a lot of waiting between stations. We had a discounted rate since it was the off season, so the price wasn't too bad.

Great price for two obstacle courses. The more advanced course was closed and we did not do the zip course. A lot of the wood was rotting and I felt like it could break at any time.

"bad setup for this course. Skip it!"

I am a 5’5 55 year old female. I was able to complete the green and blue course and probably would have been able to complete the black course if not for two issues. I took my 13 year old nephew (who can do anything) with me. He is 5’1. He was able to complete both levels with no problem. The two of us have completed several different rope/obstacle courses. I would rate this course below the others we have done. For the first two sections of this course, the ropes the clips are connected to are too short by 1-2 inches.....this combined with the fact that the cables they are attached to are sometimes covered in red tape impedes the clips from sliding properly on the cable. So, you are trying to move through an obstacle and your ropes are stuck behind you. Your forward motion is stopped AND the ropes are then up against your neck in a very uncomfortable way. Next came the black obstacle course which should not have been much of a challenge for my nephew and a challenge for me. On this part of the course, the cable you are hooked onto is much higher.....guess what....now your rope is REALLY too short AND the cable are still covered in that red tape. Again, the clips do not slide. You have to manually force them forward with your hand.....again impeding your flow. Even though my nephew is taller than the required height, he was having to either go through the course on his tip toes or do the whole thing hanging onto the above wire to move the clips along (feet not touching obstacles). Now, climbing is my nephews thing. I have never seen him want to quit. He said he was done with this course. I asked the workers about lengthening my rope after the blue course. Nope. I asked again after we got on the black course. Nope! I asked for compensation after our ropes were not long enough (combined with clips not sliding across tape). NOPE. Because we met the height requirement. Also, as a safety issue, most courses have two clips with only one being able to be unlocked at a time so that it is not even possible to have both clips unlocked. This course does not have that safety feature. Another safety issue is that there are no workers on the zip lines making sure you take off and land safely. I say skip this course!

Frequently Asked Questions about Treetop Adventure Park

What are the hours of operation?

10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

What should I wear?

Appropriate footwear and clothing is required for safety purposes: We recommend that you wear work-type gloves; DO NOT WEAR OPEN-TOED SHOES; no flip flops; no slip-on shoes; no loose baggy clothing or shirts wrapped around the waist; long hair must be tied back; secure eyeglasses and, we strongly recommend no jewelry - especially necklaces or loose bracelets which could get caught in equipment. As well, we recommend that you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirt or sap on (they’re trees, it just happens). Guests can be refused access to the course if they do not have appropriate clothing to meet our safety standards.

Is the activity appropriate for children?

Any guest under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by someone 18 years or older. Any adult with a minor under the age of 16 must be ready to participate with that climber.

How long is the tour?

Although you can end your thrilling adventure at the end of any one of the circuits, it will take you approximately 3 - 4 hours to complete the full adult course (including the brief training session).

What’s included in my ticket/experience?

The Treetop Adventure Park is an adventurous obstacle course set in the natural environment where the course is located, in this case, the beautiful woods of Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort. The obstacles are suspended between poles and participants stay securely clipped into a red safety cable throughout the course. The obstacles you will find in our park include suspended bridges, scramble nets, swinging logs, Tarzan jumps, and much more.

Is there a weight limit?

Our general weight limit is 275, but it's all about the harness and a proper fit. For example, a 6'5" 275lb person fits fine in a harness... but a 5'2", 275lb person probably will not. Typically a person who has a 46-inch waist or smaller can participate at Treetop Adventure Park. If you email us a height/weight combo, we can usually tell if it might be an issue. What if I don’t want to go on the course myself, but I want to watch my family/friends go on the course? There are walking trails along the course that allow you to walk and observe others as they use and progress through the courses. You are not to cross under the course, or remain or loiter directly under the course for safety reasons.

Is it possible for physically disabled persons to use the course?

With direct assistance, it may be possible for some physically disabled people to complete some aspects of some of the courses. We would require advance notice and a brief interview to determine if it would work out.
