Just as the name implies, it's the Old Jail, a historic building constructed by railroad magnate Henry Flagler in 1891 to resemble a fine hotel. It served as the local jail until 1953 and is now a museum showcasing what life was like for prisoners in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Wheelchair accessibility varies by location. - Old Town Trolley Tours has two wheelchair accessible trolleys. A person needing these trolleys can only board and exit the trolley at their main depot. - The Old Jail's first floor and exterior are easily accessible, however, because of its historic features there is no accessibility for wheelchair-bound visitors to the second floor. - St. Augustine History Museum has a wheelchair accessible entrance on the west side, and floors are accessible by elevator. - Oldest Store Museum is wheelchair accessible and has a ramp at the entrance to accommodate wheelchair users.
Yes, most regular size strollers can be accommodated, but they must be collapsible and remain with you at all times. Strollers may not be left unattended and in their own row.
