Overview

The very first permanent Ripley’s attraction, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! St. Augustine offers a fascinating experience for guests of all ages. The attraction is located within a historic castle and features three floors with more than 800 bizarre exhibits and artifacts. Guests can find shrunken heads, a pirate made of scrap car parts, the largest operational erector-set Ferris wheel, and more.

Description

Ripley's St. Augustine is the first & Oldest Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium!

Although Robert Ripley was a frequent visitor to St. Augustine and stayed in the building often, he did not create the museum. He died in 1949 and a year after his death, the Castle Warden was purchased to be the ideal, uniquely glamorous building to house his collections.

Collections that include real shrunken human heads, rosaries made of human bone, and a drum kit featuring two human skulls fused together and covered with human skin. Those and 800 other unique exhibits, artifacts, artwork and so much more await you and your family inside the museum right here in St. Augustine!

NOTE: In order to board the Ghost Train you must present your voucher and Photo ID at the Ripley’s Ghost Parlor at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time. Be sure to bring along a digital camera and any other recording gear you wish.

Ripley's Believe it or not was an excellent museum and an excellent time my wife and I had we bought our tickets reserve direct website I was able to just show the e tickets to the establishment no problem went right in I will definitely use reserve direct again and the museum was excellent thank you

Tip: If you do go to this museum in St Augustine please make sure you have some dollar bills or quarters because there are different things that you can do throughout the museum that will take dollar bills or quarters

Our family really enjoyed our trip to Ripley's. There are a lot of things to see and experience. Our young twins loved the hands-on experiences and didn't want to leave. Yes...visit, enjoy the adventure, and see/learn something new and exciting!

How long does it take to tour the Odditorium?
Ours is a self-guided tour so you can go through as quickly or slowly as you need to! If you like to take your time and learn the history and back story of our exhibits, we would suggest at least 2 hours. If you prefer to view the oddities and play with our interactive exhibits, you can get through in closer to an hour.

Are cameras allowed?
Yes.

Is there parking?
We have plenty of free parking at the Odditorium for our guest. There is a three hour limit on holiday and busy weekends.

Is the Odditorium wheelchair accessible?
Yes.

Does the Sightseeing Train stop at Ripley’s?
