Where do I redeem my tour voucher?

You can redeem your voucher at Pier 41 (at the corner of Jefferson Str. & Powell St.) San Francisco, CA 94133.

Do I have to do the tours in a specific order?
No. Hop On Hop Off at any of the stops along the route for convenience. The bus tour is provided on a first come first serve basis. Bus tours can start before or after your Alcatraz date.

How do I reserve the Alcatraz tour?
The tour date you select is the date your Alcatraz reservation will be.

Can this package be canceled?
No. Once purchased, this tour package cannot be canceled.

How does the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus tour work?
There are over 24 stops where you can hop off the bus and explore the area or visit an attraction. You can again hop back on the bus whenever you are ready to continue the tour. The buses run approximately every 20-30 mins from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

How long does the Alcatraz Tour take?
You can stay on Alcatraz Island as long as you like, but allow at least 3 hours for cruising to the Island, taking the Cellhouse audio tour, exploring the rest of the Island and its historic exhibits, and returning via ferry to Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing. You should line up about 30 min prior to your departure time.

What are the operating hours for the buses?
The buses depart from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.

How frequently do the hop-on-hop-off buses run?
The buses operate every 15-30 minutes (depending on season and traffic).
