"Stylish Stay in a Prime Location, But With a Few Drawbacks"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Hotel Zoe offered a stylish and comfortable base for our San Francisco adventure. The room decor had a luxury feel, with mirrors on each wall that gave it a much larger, more open vibe. The bathroom in the room did feel quite dated, with a definite 90s feel to it and could use a refresh. The reception area was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. As we were only staying for a short period, we chose not to use the housekeeping service, but it was available if needed. The parking charges were extortionate, and the in-room incidental items were seriously overpriced—we didn’t dare touch them in case we were left with a huge bill. As a guest for the hotel it should be included in your room price-not an additional charge! Additionally, the hotel’s location is fantastic—just a 5-minute walk to Pier 39, a scenic 20-minute cycle along the waterfront to Oracle Park, and about 45 minutes bike to the breathtaking Battery Spencer viewpoint. We’d definitely recommend continuing the ride down into the charming village of Sausalito—just be aware that there are some steep sections, so an e-bike is a great idea! Overall, a very enjoyable stay in an unbeatable location, but a few things kept it from being a full 5-star experience.

"Basic hotel experience"

Please be aware that this hotel is not as you would expect to find elsewhere in the world. Due to its prestigious location, it gives them a licence to adopt a blasé attitude. No less than 3 times I emailed the hotel to confirm our booking, and not one reply. On arriving at the hotel, even though the room was ready, we were asked for an early checknin fee of 50 dollars, despite having already paid over £2000 for 4 days. Most of the staff were not very engaging, and it felt as if you were not a guest, but an inconvenience. No coffee making facilities in the room. No iron, the bathroom was very basic, and looked grubby. I completely avoided spending any money in the hotel restaurant, as I felt that my whole stay was hugely over priced, and not worth a dollar more. Please be aware if you book this hotel, you will receive the bare minimum, but I guess it is San Francisco!

Had a lovely one night post cruise stay. Arrived early after coming from the ship and left our luggage with the porter. While we were organising ourself the lovely female receptionist on that morning (27th April) said we could have our room. We had booked a junior suite ans we're delighted whwn we were given a one bed suite. It was beautiful. We also loved the s'mores out by the fireplace! Excellent location.

Everyone was extremely helpful and kind, especially Azriel . They accommodated us with us walking in off the street for a room. We thought we had a reservation at a different hotel but it was inadvertently canceled. I saw Hotel Zoe by chance, connected to a bar & grill, decided to check it out… it did not disappoint!
