"Wonderful for Foreign Student, Inspiring for US Citizens"
July 2016
We took our exchange student trip on a trip around NY, PA & VA. She was very impressed with the Statue of Liberty, not so much with Ellis Island. For us, Ellis Island was more emotional. Our print at home tickets were excellent and got us directly onto the boats. We really liked the efficiency and friendliness of the crews and the flexibility of no fixed time to board. Overall, an excellent deal, but we didn't plan ahead far enough to get pedestal or crown tickets.

Tip: Order tickets at least six weeks or more in advance to get pedestal or crown tickets. Print tickets at home for better flexability!

"A must do for visiting the Statue of Liberty!"
May 2016
We went in April at a 10am time, they were so busy from Spring Break. Luckily, we bought our tickets in advance and avoided a massive line. I would highly suggest reserving a specific time before you arrive. You have to go through what seems like airport security to board the boat. They have beverages and snacks on the enclosed lower deck for purchase and an upper open deck for better views. If your boarding from the NY side, they go to the Statue of Liberty first.. then Ellis Island. If you can reserve the Pedestal or Crown tickets, do so. You have to go through security again to get into the pedestal. This is certainly a full day experience to see both islands. I had no idea the museum and all things to look at Ellis Island would be so big, be prepared to walk. This is a must do if you have never been!

Tip: Purchase tickets online to avoid massive lines. It takes a full day to experience everything on both islands. You can take the subway to get there.

"Amazing Visit!"
May 2016
We went on a very cold and windy day. The lines were long but they moved very quickly. We had plenty of photo opportunities. It was a short ride from to the Statue and then other short ride to Ellis Island.
