We had an amazing time!!! Our guide Nick was funny and very knowledgeable. We got to see an array of different sea life including sea stars, horseshoe crabs, rays, and nurse sharks. The entire place seemed very well maintained. Highly recommend the Saint Augustine Aquarium.

Nick was great! He was very knowledgeable and personable. He answered lots of questions about the area and gave recommendations about local restaurants. Also, both my nieces thought he was very easy on the eyes.

If I could give less than one star, I would. This place is ridiculously terrible. We paid for a shark encounter and feeding as well as a stingray encounter and feeding. At $10 per person for the encounter, I expected way more than one shrimp and a two second swipe at the ray. The sharks refused to come take the tiny fish head we were given to feed them. Since they did not cooperate, we could not get a refund but instead were given store credit in their gift shop. Our tour guide was horrible, the tanks were filthy and dilapidated. Please do not waste your money or your time. You would see more aquatic life at a pet store

Guides are friendly. We entered and they seemed kind and asked about my child's age I said she's 13. They asked us if we wanted any feeding opportunities I said yes, and they replied with sharks or stingrays. I said 2 for the sharks. They told me the total cost $42. I thought not bad must be a good place. Once we entered we were told that we had to wait for a guide. We waited for about ten minutes and a guide came he was nice. We started at the eels. My child enjoyed viewing the animals and the guide was friendly. The guide asked her if she wanted to touch the 2 animals you could touch. She said yes. She had to wash her hands beforehand. She was allowed to touch the horseshoe crab and the starfish. It was fun and she liked it but it was too much. Then we got to the sharks and our guide asked do you have a feeding and a petting or just a feeding. I had no idea that you could pet the sharks. I said we just have a feeding scheduled. We saw the sharks and they were in a small tank we fed them it was fun. then we saw the stingrays there were like 5 rays and I think there were 3 sharks two boys and 1 girl. Then we saw the big fish tank according to the signs at the front desk there were 250 fish. There were not 250 it was closer to 100 than 250 maybe even 50 or less. It was where the scuba adventure was. It was filthy water but I let my child do the adventure because I assumed that the mask snorkel would shield her from algae and leaves. I went to the front desk and I said Hello, I would like to book the 11 am scuba adventure for just my daughter. The ladies said sorry she needs an adult with her in the water. I showed them the sign that said 12 or under needs an adult I told them she was 13 they talked and ok so she's good to go by herself. We bought a frozen banana with coconut and went on the nature trail. Banana was not good. All over the nature trail signs were warning the ones that went of venomous snakes and other venomous or dangerous animals. Then it was time for the scuba adventure. The guide gave my daughter a wet suit and water shoes. Then I asked so she doesn't have her swimsuit on yet does she change in the bathroom. Guide said no there are changing rooms. They were tiny and dirty but a little dirt won't kill you. After she changed she was given a mask and snorkel. She took one look and told me that it was dirty. I looked and there was black soil in the mouthpiece and the goggles she got were dirty too. The guide was nice about it and gave her a new, clean set. I assumed that it was washed and disinfected because it was someone's mouth. Before you enter you need to shower in the showers in your wet suit the shower is ice cold. Then turns out the 1 hour we were told on the video is twenty minutes. It was ok but for the 38 dollars I bought the scuba adventure ticket it was a little ehh but it's okay. According to the website and the guide the water is 78 degrees according to my daughter felt like 71 but still not very cold. According to my daughter, the water was dirty and the guide casually said when everyone was in the water the lookdowns bitestaff all the time. There were tons of lookdowns in the tank. My daughter sad that it looked very cool under the water and it was fun. There was also an option to fee the fish one we weren't informed about. We only knew because someone in the snorkeling group had a fish feeding. If you want to come I recommend ONLY doing the snorkeling adventure as it is the only very good part.
