We did the dolphin encounter and it was amazing. My only complaint was they made me take out my nose stud that hadn’t been taken out in 2 years and then I couldn’t get it back in and had to repierce it when I got home. They also wouldn’t let my father in law participate because he couldn’t get a ring off that he’s had on for over 20 years and there was no way he was going to be able to take it off. While I understand the reasoning, it is a bit extreme because my nose stud wouldn’t have come off and neither would his ring, we weren’t getting into the water with the dolphin. For as much as it costs and they could see neither was going to budge they could have made an exception as neither was loose enough to come off. Long story short don’t waste your money if you don’t want to remove jewelry or piercings.

Aloha- We absolutely love going to Sea Life Park "where the heart meets the ocean". We always go multiple times when we are in Hawaii. We love the beautiful dolphins and wolphin. The monk seal and penguins are so sweet. The sea lions and seals are so much fun to watch. There are new fish to view and feed in new reef areas. You will love the shark area and do not forget to feed the hanu (sea turtles) (There are even baby ones to see.) Have fun in the bird sanctuary- and have good eats at Beach Boy Lanai. The people in the park are sweethearts too, and the setting of Sea Life Park at Rabbit Island at the ocean is breathtaking. If you can do so, attend the wonderful luau there after the park closes.

"Happy Sea Turtles!"

I really enjoyed visiting Sea Life! Sea turtles are my favorite animal and it was wonderful to see some up close. You can even buy a cup of cut up broccoli and celery to toss to the turtles - they snap it up! I had seen a comment here wondering about the size of the turtle area, so I asked Kris (who gave a great talk about the turtles as she fed them). It really seems they are well cared for and happy. Sometimes the turtles even sleep on top of each other just for fun, even though they could certainly spread out. It was great hearing how 17,000 of their turtle offspring have been released to the wild! I thought this place was fantastic and would definitely come again.

"Somewhat disappointing - watch out for the parking fee"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

Although we had fun, I was disappointed in the overall experience. It's expensive and somewhat run down. Upon arrival I was upset to find that there was a parking charge but no posted amount (no sign listing the charges!). This charge had not been obvious on either the website or our prepaid tickets. No parking fee was listed on the ticket purchase page nor in the FAQs. If you do a search on the website for "parking" or "parking fee", the fees don't come up. After my visit, having been so upset by the unexpected parking fee, it took me quite a while of searching to find where on the website the fee is listed, which was only on the directions page. We did enjoy many of the shows and most of the staff were friendly and engaged. The walk-in aviary was an unexpected favorite for most of our group. The Discovery Reef Pool was also well done and a good place for little kids. The Dolphin show was also fun and there was a shaded covering for the area we were seated in (not all seating is covered). We had lunch at the restaurant which was overpriced and poor quality.

Refused to honor Go City pass thru which I booked the reservation. Food is awful, service mediocre. Noisy, incoherent performance. Way overpriced for what one gets.
