Description

The legacy of Pearl Harbor lives on, with Hawaii playing a critical role during the turn of events that reshaped world history. On this popular narrated tour of Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial and other historic Honolulu landmarks, you will explore firsthand what happened on Dec. 7, 1941 and how it greatly impacted the outcome of World War II.

The excursion begins at Pearl Harbor to relive the events that unfolded on that fateful Sunday morning in 1941, when U.S. forces at Pearl Harbor came under attack by Japan, catapulting the United States into World War II. A visit by boat to the USS Arizona Memorial then offers a real-time setting for reflecting on the extensive battle that took place, leading to the loss of life of 1,177 of the ship’s crewmen.

The journey then moves onward to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, a historical landmark offering a backdrop of scenic rolling green hills and lush foliage where many of those who fought for their country are buried, and finally past Honolulu’s most noteworthy historical landmarks, including Iolani Palace, Kawaiahao Church, the Hawaii State Capitol and Honolulu City Hall.

NOTE:
Pearl Harbor is an active military base, therefore a "no bag" policy exists on location, prohibiting purses, handbags, fanny packs, backpacks, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage and/or other items that offer concealment.

The canyon was beautiful but very few stops along the way to view scenery. Very long drive for only view of the canyon and lots of possible stops were too small for the bus. This was the Journey to Waimea Canyon tour

I truly enjoyed the Hana excursion on Maui on 9/28/25 with Bjorn Erlandson. He was very informative and knowledgeable about not just the history and the locations we saw, but also the plants, trees and foliage on the island. He often gave background context related to some of the sites we stopped at. He has a great sense of humor as well! I liked having the maps he provided for each of us that highlighted the various sights he pointed out during the day, but he also circled all of our stops so we could see exactly where we were on the island at all times. It was a nice feature that I wished I had access to on the other excursions I took. The nicest aspect of Bjorn’s personality was his attentiveness to our wellbeing during the day. He was always asking if we were comfortable, often shared samples of local food products with us at various food stops, provided cold water as needed, had hand sanitizer/wipes/ paper towels at the ready for any “emergency”. And I was very grateful he allowed me to use his phone charger to recharge my phone when I was dealing with a rapidly dying phone battery towards the end of the tour. He was kind and gracious at all times. Of all of the Roberts Hawaii tour guides I encountered during my trip, Bjorn was by far my favorite!!
