Guided Paddleboard Tour in Hilton Head, SC

Choosing Island Head’s private ferry from Hilton Head Island to Daufuskie Island was a good start for our family’s week of vacation at DI. As soon as we arrived to the loading/unloading area we were greeted by members of the baggage handling crew who were anxious to take care of us. The check in process was very simple. There were food trucks close by to grap some snacks while we waited for our on-time departure. As soon as we were boarded, our mate reviewed safety and emergency instructions and we were on our way. During the trip our captain and mate pointed out some sights of interest and provided some history of the area. When we arrived at Freeport Marina the baggage handling crew made sure our baggage and belongings were unloaded and placed on the ground transportation trailer as quickly as possible. When we arrived at our rental home there were members of the baggage handling crew there to help unload our baggage. Everyone with Island Head was very customer focused - they valued us. One of our grandsons had other appointments on Saturday and was not able to take the private ferry on Saturday. He took the last scheduled ferry on Sunday at 4:15 and enjoyed the same excellent service we received. We highly recommend Island Head ferry!

We did the round trip Dafuskie ferry from HHI. The small boat was a fun way to get there- we saw lots of dolphins! The captain was great! Very friendly and skilled. Will use this company again.

My parasailing was cancelled due to weather. No one called me and advised anything. Drove all the way there l and walked in a was barely greeted by a young teenager. She said oh it’s been cancelled due to weather. I said well why didn’t you call to let me know as a courtesy. OOOOps I got busy….yeah it was sooo busy as all the things were closed so I’m sure you were. Horrible customer service take your business elsewhere.

We had a great time on the kayak adventure led by William! He was a fun guide and got us started on the water quickly and easily. He provided a lot of fun and knowledgeable information during the tour, as well. A fun experience!

We went on a late afternoon dolphin cruise on what turned out to be a very windy day. Our knowledgeable guide, Jackson, kept us at a slow pace and in more protected waters, which made the right smooth and comfortable. This was good because there was another family with small children on board as well as none of us wanting to feel sick or getting wet from waves. You would think that would mean less to see, but that was not the case. We saw many dolphins splashing and feeding. We also got to see many lovely shorebirds in action too. Jackson was great at getting us near the animals and birds easily and expertly. Such a fabulous experience!! We look forward to another excursion with this company on our next visit to the area and will continue to recommend them to everyone! Thanks to Paige for setting this up for us!
