"Never again!"

Wow, our experience totally different than latest reviews? I was so needing an ocean balcony to escape and grieve the loss of a loved one. Every morning I would go out and was greeted by the high pitch noise of saws/ drill cutting metal? And the thumping bass from the pool music. This music was played 24/7. Why? There was rarely anyone at the pool due to cool temps and never should it be played all night! Housekeeping daily service was hit or miss. Some days never got service( yes service sign on door by noon). Days it was received :Daily water left...maybe, maybe not. Replacment cups/ tea bags ....maybe, maybe not. There were also two spots of blood on room ceiling.....possibly mosquito kills ( i hope!) but disgusting to look at. We attempted the restaurant at a non busy hour and was ignored by the waiter. He saw us and never offered explanation or apology. We decided to sit patiently and just wait, until a customer at the bar began chasing a bug under the barstools! Never had the desire to try the restaurant again. We had a family of screaming , wall banging, door slamming children next door for half week. Then later week awoken off and on all night by drunken adults alternating between screaming arguments and shrieking laughter off and on for hours . This was the total opposite of the vacation I so desperately needed. And definitely was not the Hilton standards of old and way beyond meeting high cost expectations!! It felt like we were at a low end roadside motel!
