View varying points of interest from the sea while enjoying this scenic trek through the waters of Key West. You may even spot dolphins, sea turtles, or tropical birds along the way!

Jet Ski Rules and Regulations:
  • All Adults must bring a valid government issued photo I.D. that includes the date of birth (ages 16 and older). And must complete a Boater Safety Test if the guest operating the jet ski does not have a Florida Boater Safety License.
  • Guests must be at least 18 years old or have a natural parent present at check-in to participate.
  • Guests 4-13 years of age cannot drive a jet ski but can be a passenger.
  • Guests, 14-15 years of age can drive or be a passenger if someone 18 or older is on the jet ski with them.
  • Guests, 16-17 years can drive their own jet ski if 1. Valid Government Issued Photo ID is presented 2. Boater’s Safety Test is completed AND 3.parents must present a valid Photo ID and sign a waiver at check-in.
  • Guests 18+ can drive jet skis if 1. Valid Government Issued Photo ID is presented AND 2. Born before 1988 or completes a Boater’s Safety Test.


Please note that a safety lanyard (key) is attached to the Jet Ski driver at all times

Three guests are allowed per Jet Ski and cannot exceed a total combined weight of 460 lbs (225 kg)

No. Due to the protected sanctuaries and shallow areas, the guided tour is the only option in riding jet skis in Key West.

Can 3 people fit on a Jet Ski?

Yes, as long as the weight does surpass 460 lbs. (If you are going to ride with three passengers, Fury Water Adventures recommends that it is only 1 adult and 2 small children or 2 Adults and 1 small child.)

What will I see on the tour?

While every tour is different based on marine and weather conditions, the Ultimate Jet Ski tour guides will make 3-5 stops at different points of interest and share facts about certain areas. There is a possibility of spotting local sea life like bottlenose dolphins or sea turtles, but it is not guaranteed.

How fast can I go on the Jet Ski Tour?

Fury's jet skis can reach speeds of approximately 45 miles per hour.

Can we switch drivers during the tour?

Yes, the tour makes multiple stops in which you can change drivers.

Can a child operate the Jet Ski?

Yes, but there are some rules. Guests ages 4-13 are not allowed to operate a Jet Ski under any circumstances but are more than welcome to accompany an adult. Guests 14-15 years of age may operate a Jet Ski with another person on the ski who is at least 18 years of age & meets the required criteria. A natural parent must be present to sign paperwork at check-in. After obtaining a Boater Safety License, guests 16-17 years of age may operate a Jet Ski, when a natural parent signs paperwork at check-in.

Are life jackets provided?

Yes, Fury Water Adventures will provide life jackets for adults and children on this jet ski tour.

Do I need a valid driver's license to Jet Ski?

All adults are required to present their Driver's License, but other forms of Government Issued photo identification that show your age are accepted. Photocopies will not be accepted.

Where is the departure for this tour?

Departure Point: Opal Key Resort & Marina 241 Front St, Key West, FL 33040, USA. Located just behind the Opal Key Resort on the corner of Front St. and Greene St. in the Opal Key Marina. The Check-in booth is located on the pier.

What should I bring?

A valid Government Issued photo ID and a major credit card are required. Bring your towels, reef safe sunscreen, floating straps and your waterproof camers! Other personal items may be left at check-in during your tour.

Is parking provided?

No, parking is not provided at any of our check-in locations, but you can use street parking, pay to park lots, or parking garages.

Are pets allowed?

Fury allows service animals only. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual. The work performed must be directly related to the individual's disability. According to the ADA service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companionship are not considered service animals. The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. ​Due to the nature of Fury tours, guests and service animals may be required to remain on the boat for the entirety of the tour.

Can my child who is under 18 go on the trip by themselves?

Most Fury tours will require the minor guest’s natural parent to be present at check-in to sign them in.
