My husband and I took a quick trip to Key West. We selected a hotel that had a great shuttle service and great breakfast. The room and hotel was pristine. Also, the daily breakfast was buffet but was fresh and amazing! My husband and I relaxed a couple of nights and order from the in house restaurant and it was really great! No complaints about this hotel. The hotel is moderate price, but it offered the most built in value! Don’t hesitate to stay and enjoy the pool, restaurant and hourly free shuttle.

We stayed at the property the night before our flight. It was so close to the airport and we took the complimentary shuttle. We arrived at the property before our room was ready. They held our bags for us and we were able to enjoy the bar and pool while waiting. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Just know that there is not really any place to walk to get food or nightlife. I didn’t take it but there is a complementary shuttle to Duval street, with plenty of fun and food.

"Horrible Scam - Prepaid room canceled by them!!!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

My husband and I made reservations in December for a stay in January. We prepaid the room when we made the reservation. We arrived to the hotel on check-in day and were told by the front desk agent that I had called and canceled the reservation a few days prior. She told me that they had no rooms available. I called the customer service line and the agent told me that I had called and canceled and when I argued that I had not called, she asked me if I wanted to listen the the recorded call that I had made to cancel. I told her that I absolutely wanted to listen to it and she put me on hold for 5 minutes then finally came back on and told me that she was incorrect and the reservation had been canceled because my card was declined. I told her that it was prepaid and she told me that it was not and that there was nothing more she could do. We ended up booking another room at another hotel but this is unacceptable business practices. Please beware of this hotel. I believe that they overbooked the weekend and didn't want to refund anyone.

Terrible place, has an odd smell and rodents. Stay away at all costs! We ended up staying at Margaritaville and it is night and day above that dumpy Doubletree.

"Good stay; no airport noise; not close to anything"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5

Overall, we had a good two night stay here. We would probably be willing to stay again. Pros - pool water temperature was great (possibly heated pool?) - use of Hilton status benefits, such as F&B credit, were simple to use - no airport noise; we could only hear the airplanes from the balcony - Double Tree cookies, of course - staff was generally friendly - room was clean and neat Cons - Noisy bar by the pool until late at night (I suppose this might be a Pro for some people) - Restaurant doesn't open for breakfast until 7am, so not much opportunity there if you are starting early - Not close to anything Neutral or Can't comment on - Shuttle to old town -- we weren't able to try it because of our schedule - Palm Haven restaurant was good enough and reasonably priced for Key West - parking was pretty easy, even if $20/night - the literature says the coffee in the lobby starts at 7am, but it available by 645 at least one of the mornings we were there.
