The Conch Train tour covers Old Town, the Historic District, Duval Street, the Hemingway House, Key West Aquarium, Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum, Southernmost Point, and the historic waterfront. Since 1958, the Conch Tour Train has delighted guests of all ages with its colorful narrative, unusual historical facts, and beautiful island scenery.

While on the tour, your engineer offers an interesting and amusing narrative filled with historical facts, trivia, and humor, and recounts fascinating stories of the colorful people that make Key West so unique.

The Conch Tour Train operates 364 days a year. It is closed on the last Saturday in October due to Fantasy Fest.

The Conch Tour Train Key West tour departs at 303 Front Street. You can also begin your tour at our Flagler Station at 901 Caroline Street. If you board at this location, when you arrive in Mallory Square you will transfer to another vehicle to complete your train tour.

How often do the Conch Train tours depart?

Train tours will depart at least every 30 minutes. Aside from this Conch Train schedule, if the vehicles fill sooner, they will leave sooner.

How long is the tour?

The Conch Tour Train is a 75-minute fully narrated tour of the historic area of the island. One of the stops is currently closed due to construction.

Where do I park?

Parking on a 2-mile by 4-mile island can be difficult. There are a number of paid parking areas nearby including: Mallory Square parking lot (412 Wall Street), Opal Key Resort & Marina (245 Front Street depot). Key West Park n Ride Garage (301 Grinnell Street), and Key West Bight and Old Historic Seaport parking lot (207 Margaret Street).

Can I bring my stroller on board the train?

Yes, the Conch Tour Train can accommodate strollers but they must be collapsible and will be stored up front with the conductor. Strollers in the aisle ways would constitute a safety hazard.

The Key West Conch Tour focuses on Old Town Key West and its history. The package includes a narrated train ride tour around this island city and admission on the Conch Tour Train. It will pass over sites like Harry S. Truman's Little White House, The Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum, Mallory Square Festival Market Place, El Meson de Pepe Restaurant, Key West Memorial Sculptire Garden, Mel Fishers, Audubon House, the Henry Flagler Station, Sunset at Mallory Square shops, Hemingway Home and Museum, the Lighthouse Museum in the Key West, Southernmost Point, Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, Duval Street, Hemingway Run Company Distillery, Historic Seaport, Yankee Freedom III Dry Tortugas National Park Ferry, a ferry terminal, shops and restaurants!

Are food and drinks allowed while on the tour?

Food and drinks are welcome aboard this Key West Tour. However alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

Are pets allowed on your trains?

Service animals are the only animals that are allowed on board the Conch Train Tour. A service animal means a dog, regardless of breed or type, that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Animal species other than dogs, emotional support animals, comfort animals, companionship animals, and service animals in training are not service animals.

Are the trains handicap accessible for individuals with wheelchairs and motorized scooters?

This Key West conch train tour does have some trains with ramps that can accommodate scooters and/or wheelchairs with advance notice (no less than 24 hours). Please call the number of your e-ticket at least 24-hours in advance if you require wheelchair and/or scooter assistance.
