This is a beautiful resort. Duval St, Hemmingway House, & the Southern Most Buoy are all within walking distance from the resort. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The food & drinks we had onsite were all good. Our room was nice, however instead of a Keurig there was a similar portable espresso machine, It was awful and did not work properly & the coffee shop does not open until 8am. Another down side is the $43 a day parking fee on top of the $60 a day resort fee. Since they do not offer off site shuttle service to the airport or the tourist attractions we chose to rent a car & paid the extra parking fee. Overall it was a great experience!

Watch out for the amenity fees at checkout that are included in any other hotel stay. $921.50 at checkout, then hit me for $10.75 more the night after we checked out. “Amenities” include room cleaning, pool fees, etc….2 days they didn’t even clean our room, and one day they cleaned and did not leave clean bath cloths…

Friends and I stayed at the Southernmost hotel for a few days in October. We found visiting Key West in October was not only very affordable but also not as crowded as it would be during the “season“. Pros; Our room was located in the building closer to the ocean of which we had a partial ocean view. Our room was quite modern and very clean. Although roosters roamed the area, once the door to the patio was closed, you could not hear them in the morning. Coffee in the morning on the patio was fantastic. Cons: Our friends room, unfortunately, smelled a little moldy, but the hotel upgraded them to another one immediately. They were located in the main building where you check in. The only thing they mentioned were the many roosters in the morning starting at 4:30 waking them up. Another con I should mention is that there were no complimentary bars of soap available in the bathroom. There was also no extra rolls of tissue paper. Hotel staff did give me several small bars of soap when I asked. However, the tissue paper never arrived. We didn’t use any of the amenities such as the restaurant, fitness center, pools,, or bars, so I can’t comment on them. It’s about a 3 mile walk to Mallory Square where you can shop, sightsee, and take trolley or train tour rides or visit museums . Since Southernmost Hotel is right at the end of Duval Street so there are tons of restaurants, shops, and bars to stop at if you are walking to Mallory Square. We do plan on returning in the future, and Will stay at the Southernmost Hotel again.

Had a wonderful stay here. The location is probably one of the best places in Key West, adjacent to the Southernmost Point Buoy, on Duval St, at the Atlantic Ocean. There's 3+ pools, two with a bar for refreshments. A restaurant is at the property, as well as a Spa, and breakfast spot for some hotel packages. There aren't many hotels on the beach at Key West, but this is one of them. It's only a mile walk to get to the other end of the island, but there's also public transportation, and rentals (golf cart, scooter, bike) available nearby. It was a perfect spot to unwind, or to head out to go party!
