Southernmost Beach Resort in Key West , FL

Had a wonderful time! The room was clean and well equipped. We were close to the dock and enjoyed evenings and mornings watching the wild life! We met Kate the activities director and she taught us how to blow the conch shell and also made us raincoats to walk on Duval Street !

We have been to Southern most beach resort multiple times and would always choose to stay at this resort, everything is so nice and clean, the rooms are very comfortable and the view is breathtaking. On this trip we had a day of pouring rain and when we approached Kasey (the activities director) she was more than happy to help us out with a way to stay dry while we walked to the other end of Duval St to hear our favorite singer Cliff Cody. The attached picture is us wrapped in clear trash bags, it was a great day and a lot of laughs. Thanks again Kasey, you are the best!!!

Nice place but not worth the cost. You’ll get a hotel room shaped like a box on the street. No view and one window unless you cave to their upgrade costs. If you can roll with a $600/nt cost, go for it. Frankly, save your money, go cheaper, hotel is worth it. Hawaii is far better bang for your buck if you want tropical with less pretentious people.

Our bad experience started at check-in with the two rooms I reserved not being close together as requested and confirmed prior to our arrival, and the ADA room I booked not being wheelchair accessible. Before booking, I called the resort's 1800 number and asked if and how I could reserve two rooms close to one another. I needed an ADA room for my elderly mother and another room for my husband, child, and me. The lady I spoke to said that ADA rooms are classed as "Superior" rooms, so if I booked another Superior room, they would be close to one another. That's what I did. I called again a week prior to our arrival to confirm that our rooms would be in close proximity. The person I spoke with asked me for my confirmation numbers. Without checking anything, he said that because the confirmation numbers were consecutive, the rooms would be located close together. When we arrived, our rooms were in different buildings. There was nothing else available at that time. We were stuck with what we had. Keep in mind that my mother was using a mobility scooter and needed an ADA room. The ADA room had no way to hold the door open for my mother to get her mobility scooter in and out on her own. Every time she needed to leave her room, we had to walk across the parking lot or back from wherever we were to help her. This had a significant negative impact on our entire stay. It is laughable that a resort charging over $700 a night is incapable of booking two rooms within close proximity. Across a parking lot in a completely different building is not close. It's unacceptable and illegal that an ADA room has a door that cannot be operated by someone in a wheelchair or mobility scooter. This is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. I saw another review on Tripadvisor with this exact same problem, so this is an ongoing problem at the resort that needs to be addressed. It took us over half an hour to check in because there were two people working the front desk while "concierge" was standing around and handing out maps. The inability to access concierge or ask for anything without visiting the front desk at a resort on a property this large is crazy. There should at least be an app. When I visited the front desk to ask for late checkout, there was again a very long line waiting while concierge stood around handing out maps. It's unfortunate that these issues had such a significant negative impact on our trip because otherwise the property is beautiful and well kept and in a fantastic location. The food and drinks were excellent, and everyone we dealt with was very nice. The pool was always out of towels by noon, but usually restocked within an hour or so.

The location is perfect if you want to be close to the beach. We stayed in building 5 and it was perfect, right next to the seaside pool and beach! The staff were very accommodating and the service was great. We had a balcony which was nice to have coffee in the morning.
