"A really good park"

I have visited many water parks and this is a very good one. The attractions are very good and there is a good selection of food and drink on offer. The toilets are well maintained by the park but because people can’t use them respectfully they could do with more regular cleaning throughout the day. The lifeguards are not so great. They are very good as looking like they are watching, with very pronounced head movements but just blow a whistle for everything and when two children got into difficulties in the wave pool today they did not notice, my husband (an ex-lifeguard) rescued them with no reaction from the staff. I would highly recommend a visit but be responsible for your own safety in the water, don’t rely on the lifeguards.

"Poor lifeguard time management"

We took our 2 granddaughters (ages 5 and 7) to Splash Country. Mixed bag, to be sure. •The digital tickets worked perfectly for EVERYTHING; kudos for that •The place is CLEAN •The lines were interminable. Over an hour for the Wild River Raft Ride (great ride BTW) •I had a LOT of time to observe other features. The long water slide was very poorly managed. The lifeguards at the bottom spent most of their time chatting with each other, with no regard for signalling the next rider to go. They could have easily doubled or tripled the throughput if they were paying attention. •Same for the smallest water slide. Both kids at the bottom had to have both feet on dry land before the lifeguard would signal for the next two kids to go. They could EASILY have tripled the throughput with sensible safety measures. •It was ALMOST like all of the ride mismanagement was intentional in order to discourage using the rides in favor of buying souvenirs instead. •Food: waited 30 min at the Campsite Grill to PLACE our order; another 30 min to get our order. We rented a canopy (thank God); at least we had a place to dump our stuff. We spent 6 hrs @ Splash Country to ride 2 rides, wade in the Wave Pool, ride the Lazy River, and have lunch (in 90 degree heat). Not worth it.

"Absolutely NOT worth the wait"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

It was so hot, we decided to spend the day at Splash Country - little knowing that, in fact, we would really spend the majority of it WAITING in line. For almost everything. We waited for the trolley to take us to Dollywood. We then had to wait for the inter-park bus to take us to Splash Country. We then waited to buy tickets and then had to wait in line to get our bags checked to get into the park. Then we waited for over 50mins for a ride that took less than 2mins to complete - and for which we were told would only be a 10mins wait - HA! After that, we then just went to the wave pool and the tube current ride, stopping only ti queue for a drink in between. We were - under no circumstances going to wait for the ride with a high drop as there was a MASSIVE queue for that! Believe it or not, all of the above took SIX hours. Because of all the waiting.

"Generic Water Park Experience"

It was an average, generic water park experience. If I visited the area again, I would probably take part in other activities as you can get a similar experience anywhere. Couldn't even really tell that it was affiliated with Dollywood

"Great park for families. If possible buy the H2O pass."

Very nice water park that’s full of fun sliders for both big and small kids. Definitely recommend to water lovers of all ages. Quick tip is to bring towels, water shoes, and a waterproof phone holder. We found the pathways got quite warm for bare feet. And eat your snack at off times cuz the kiosks get busy around lunch and dinner. Lastly, buy the H2O pass because lines can easily be 45-60 minutes all day long. We rode maybe 25 slides with the unlimited pass. Without it we would have gotten on maybe 6-8.
