The wonders of NYC will dazzle you as you learn the history of this iconic place. See NYC's famous landmarks and neighborhood by bus, foot and boat cruise!

After a drive through the Times Square area, the first stop is at Central Park West and 72nd Street, at the Dakota Building (former home of John Lennon). The stop includes a short guided walk into Central Park to visit the Strawberry Fields with the Imagine mosaic dedicated to John Lennon, as well as the views of other sites in the area such as the luxury condominiums that numerous celebrities call home. We'll also drive by Central Park Zoo, famous Plaza Hotel and Carnegie Hall.

The second stop on the tour is Rockefeller Center, for views of St. Patrick's Cathedral, the location of the ice skating rink and Christmas Tree, and NBC's Today Show set.

The third stop is Madison Square Park - the original location of Madison Square Garden Arena. This area provides spectacular views of dramatic architecture featured in numerous books and films: the Flatiron Building (Godzilla, Spider-Man), the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower (The Runaway Skyscraper, Futurama), and the Empire State Building (King Kong, Independence Day).

The tour continues with a drive through some of the iconic NYC's neighborhoods, such as Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, and the Financial District.

En route to the fourth stop, we drive by Wall Street for views of the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall (the location of the first Capitol Building of the United States), Trinity Church, and a drive by the famous Charging Bull sculpture on Broadway.

The fourth stop is the World Trade Center, as we visit the 9/11 Memorial. The tour does not include entry into the 9/11 Museum, but visitors can walk the grounds of the Memorial, visit the waterfalls of "Reflecting Absence," (the footprints of where the original twin towers stood), and see the Survivor Tree that stood up to the destruction of 9/11.

Around 1 pm, we'll stop for a quick lunch break at the Fulton 55 Market.

The fifth stop is at Pier 15 for the 2:30 pm boat cruise (note: in off-season, between Jan 1 - Apr 1, in lieu of boat cruise, guests visit Grand Central Terminal) with the Hornblower to experience magnificent views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, iconic Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges, Governor's Island, Ellis Island, and a 360 degree turn in front of the Statue of Liberty for amazing photo opportunities!

The boat docks back at Pier 15 in Midtown Manhattan, where we board our bus to continue the tour, as we drive back to our original departure point on 7th Avenue.

Frequently Asked Questions about Discover NY

How long is the tour?

The tour is six hours long, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.

What if I show up late, or just a few minutes before the scheduled departure time?

They highly recommend you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on the tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, they note outstanding reservations as "no-shows." If they have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.

What kind of trucks or vans does USA Guided Tours use?

They use 35-passenger shuttle vans for daily mixed tour groups. Private tours are scheduled on the 15-passenger vans. They do their best to keep large, same-party groups together on the same bus. They reserve the right to substitute the larger 55-passenger buses, depending upon demand and/or the tour schedule. The 55-passenger buses have bathrooms on board for your convenience.

Are we allowed to bring baby strollers and/or wheelchairs on board the tour vehicles?

Unfortunately, the shuttles are not wheelchair accessible, nor is there storage for baby strollers. If you have a wheelchair, please call them via the number on your e ticket to make special vehicle arrangements for your tour. Some of the tours involve longer walks so if you like, you may stay on board the shuttle, near the landmark, without exiting the shuttle bus every time.

Is the tip included in the tour ticket price?

Tips are not included in the tour ticket price.

Are we allowed to bring carry-on luggage on the tour vehicle?

The shuttle buses and vans do not have storage for accommodating carry-on bags. They ask that you only bring purses, briefcases, or backpacks for your tour; Please note that USA Guided Tours reserves the right to inspect any bags, book bags, briefcases or backpacks you carry.

How long do we stay at each stop on my tour?

It depends on the stop. Your tour guide will tell you the planned amount of time for each stop. They have allowed enough time at every stop for you to walk around and take plenty of pictures!

Can I be picked up at my hotel?

Pickup services available from selected hotels are offered. Please call the phone number on your booking confirmation to arrange pickup services.
