Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours is a great way to see Chicago’s top attractions. Sightseeing on a Segway is fun, unique, and exhilarating. Segways are safe and very easy to learn. If you can stand, you can ride! These self-balancing machines do the work for you.

Every tour begins with training. Explore Chicago by day or night with our friendly tour guides and your very own Chicago chariot on two wheels.

  • Tours operate rain or shine.
  • Ponchos will be provided if it rains.
  • This is an outdoor activity. Please dress accordingly. Close-toed shoes are suggested.
  • Not recommended for pregnant women.
  • Tours and training are conducted in English.
  • Minimum age is 12 years old. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Minimum weight 100 lbs, Maximum weight 260 lbs.
  • Helmet provided.
  • You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your departure time.
  • Intoxicated guests will not be allowed to ride.
  • All guests must sign a release and liability waiver.
  • If you fail to comply with any of these requirements, you will not be allowed to ride and you will not receive a refund.

Is a Segway easy to ride?
Yes. If you can stand, you can ride. Guests will be given a tutorial and training prior to departing on the tour.

Can children ride?
It is required that all tour participants are above the age of 12 years old.

Is there a weight requirement?
Yes. Guests must be a minimum of 100 pounds and not exceed 260 pounds.

Are there any height requirements?
No.

Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes. Guests must wear a helmet while operating the Segway.

Are there people who should NOT participate?
It is not recommended that pregnant women and any person with health restrictions, seizure disorders, intolerance or sensitivity to extreme heat and sun, or persons who have had recent prosthetic surgery participate in this activity. Riders must be capable of standing for extended periods of time. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited from riding.

Where do we meet for the tour?
Tours meet at our main location at Millennium Park at 238 E Monroe Street.

Where should I park?
We suggest parking in the Millennium Park Parking Garage which you can enter at 5 South Columbus Drive.

When should I arrive for my tour?
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to departure.

What should I bring?
During the summer you'll want to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen. And don’t forget your camera!

What should I wear?
It can be cooler near the lakefront, so you may want to bring a light jacket, gloves and a hat in the cooler months. In the event of rain, we will provide a poncho. Remember to wear comfortable shoes. High-heels are not recommended.

Can I bring a purse or a bag?
There is a small hardshell backpack on your Segway in which you may store your personal items, including a purse. However, a large purse could be a challenge. So, we recommend keeping your purse small or using a fanny pack.

Can I use my phone while on the Segway?
No. The use of phones or other handheld devices while operating the Segway is strictly prohibited for the safety of all on the tour. Tours will stop to allow guests to take plenty of pictures throughout the tour.

What happens in the case of rain?
Tours operate rain or shine. In the case of rain, guests will be given ponchos. Tours do not operate in heavy rainstorms or severe weather.
