My wife and I, plus our teens, set out on this adventure and what can we say but WOW! It was beautiful to kayak down the river and observe all the unique scenery in the Garden Island. Then we pulled our kayaks off river and hiked across the river and through the forest in a relatively easy but always fun trek. Along the way, our excellent & intrepid guide, Kailani (spelling?), told us fascinating & informative tidbits, plus our son got to feed a native bird a worm (it came and landed in his hand!). But the most breathtaking reward was to come round the bend, over some boulders and cast your eyes on this secret magnificent waterfall. To swim into its cool refreshing waters while our guide made lunch was a fulfillment of a lifetime desire! Highly recommended for couples and teens!

This was the highlight of our day. With excellent guidance we kayaked for about 3 miles up river to our hiking starting point. We hiked to the falls where we had time for a picnic lunch and had time to get into the water, swam up to the waterfall where we were able to get under the falling water. That was FUN! The hike was moderate, but safe. We definitely recommend doing this tour.
