What a letdown, the staff in the main lobby are rude and disrespectful, the food is not good and very expensive. It needs updating as tried. The parking is not free it’s 25dollers a day . It’s all money to them. Would not come again, it has ruined my holiday

The website photos make this hotel look beautiful, but the reality was a huge letdown. Our “ocean view” room had a broken AC (the room was hot and humid), most of the USB outlets didn’t work, and the view was actually of a public city park. The hotel does not have its own beach—so instead of waves, we looked out at people grilling and hosting family gatherings right outside our window. On top of that, the staff (with the exception of Curt) were unfriendly and unhelpful. Even at checkout, the only response I got was a flat “ok.” For the nightly rate, plus the joke of a “resort fee” and additional parking charges, this property is absolutely not worth it. The location is the only positive thing I can say. Otherwise, this hotel is far below Hilton standards and feels like they’re more focused on nickel-and-diming guests than improving the experience. I’m currently staying at another Hilton on the Big Island, and the difference is night and day. Skip this property—you’ll thank yourself later.

I wanted to love this place and I will say it is a beautiful location, but the room smelled terrible and musty, the carpet needs to ripped out asap. Unfortunately there were also roaches in the room, dirt in the sheets, I don’t know if it was bug “dust”? The internet wasn’t working so no tv channels available and no streaming. I called to get help but they said it was down for the whole resort so oh well. Also the resort dining options are not great, but that part doesn’t really bother me since you can literally get food anywhere. I checked out after 1 night of a 6 night vacation and went to another resort even though it was thousands more to book 5days elsewhere. Service was good, the people were kind, but the hotel needs some tlc bad. I’d advise booking elsewhere with equally beautiful beach access for about the same or just a little more money. Would not visit this hotel again.

This a terrific "value" hotel on the island. It is conveniently located near the airport and within EZ access to BOTH ends of the island. We stayed in one of the adjoining cottages and the sound of roosters and chickens every morning could not have been more relaxing to wake up to. The short morning presentation offered by Asst GM "Bart" is an absolute MUST to take in. He answers all of your questions as to how to best navigate the island. Bring your questions. He has the answers. Also highly reccomend the Air Kuhai helicopter tour for both "value" and safety. The sun rises directly out back of this hotel....and the swimming area here is one of the better public ones on the island. Love this island!!
