"DO NOT STAY HERE - Safety warning"

We stayed here for a soccer tournament and it was atrocious. First the hotel is being renovated and there is no dumpster for the old room furnishings, they are just all stacked and piled in an area outside near the pool. We felt very un safe as the construction crew was also staying at the property, convenience and contracts, I understand, but the way they would watch our little girls was very uncomfortable. There were also people who were clearly on drugs lurking around us in the public areas where we would try to gather as families. It was so disturbing it caused our children to worry, bringing some to tears as they were scared. In turn we headed to our rooms early and locked up. The front desk staff in the evening was very rude, and not accommodating at all. She didn’t seem to have an issue with the strays that would enter the hotel. At one point she asked a man (who walked in with a lit cigarette) if he was a guest of the hotel. He mumbled an answer and continued to get some coffee. We asked her what he said and she said she couldn’t understand him, but stated she believed he was staying with someone… right…. There was a mother with 5 or 6 children (guessing ages 16 down to 9), who lived at the hotel and sat in the lobby playing on the computer for hours. They told us this because we offered them some food because they were clearly watching our kids interact while eating dinner. The stairwells were filled with profanity and drawings. We are in this area often and I never write reviews, but this one needed to written out of safety for others. We left the next day. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Stayed here for a recent soccer tournament. Rooms were not all that clean. Our AC did work great. There was a distinct odor to the room that was quickly overpowered my the small of marihuana coming from the adjoining room. Pool was small for the size of the hotel. Location was convenient to the highway but nothing else really walkable. They did close the lobby on us at 10:00 and the elevator that was working was scary, slow and noisy.

The staff were friendly but the property is dated - very dated - especially the rooms. The carpet in our room was so dirty that I was reluctant to walk in it without shoes. The room layout was inefficient. We were given a handicap room (supposedly as an upgrade) but it had a tub in the bathroom ??? The A/C unit worked but the noise level kept you up all night and forced you to turn the tv volume to 35! I would definitely not recommend this property until it gets a complete overhaul.

"Horror Hotel"

Literally grossest hotel I've ever stepped foot in. It was built in 2008, and you can tell that the carpets, curtains, walls, doors, hallways have never once been cleaned, repaired, or renovated. Huge stains on every inch of hallway and room carpets. Broken elevators, cracked tiles, rooms were not even vacuumed before we went in. Both showers clogged and backing up on your feet. Front desk would not refund us so we could move hotels. I even called Marriott for help- they would do nothing. Avoid at all costs.
