The nutrient-dense soil, mountain topography, and consistent climate lend themselves to a variety of types of wine, with a particular focus on unique fruit wines.

Enjoy a true taste of all that East Tennessee has to offer with the Wine and Moonshine Tour of the Smokies! This trip will take you 30 miles southeast of Knoxville to the picturesque town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. With this 4-hour tour, you’ll visit two wineries and two distilleries. Each of the partner establishments has a friendly and knowledgeable staff that will help you navigate from White Lighting to Muscadine, whatever your experience level. With deep roots in the mountains of East Tennessee, enjoy the personalized experience you receive at each of the partner establishments.

Where do we meet for the Pigeon Forge moonshine tasting tour?

You will meet your guide at Hillside Winery, located at 229 Collier Dr, Sevierville, TN 37862. Take a left off of 441 onto Collier Drive, go about 1/4 of a mile and destination is on your left. This is also the first stop of your tour.

How long is the tour?

Tour lasts approximately 4 hours but can be longer or shorter based on groups and conditions.

What are the restrictions on tour?

Children and guests under 21 are not allowed on this tour. This tour is not recommended for wheelchair users, pregnant women, and people with medical conditions or are under medication that are inhibited by alcohol.

What do I bring?

Bring a valid, government issued photo ID.

What do I wear?

Casual attire is recommended.

Can I bring my dog on board?

Only service animals are allowed on this wine and moonshine tasting tour.

Is parking available?

Yes. Park in toward the back of the parking lot nearest the hotel. Please note that you will have to find your own way back to your hotel. Do not drink and drive.
