We are Marriott Gold, “premium” room awful, next to elevator, barking dog in room across the hall, broken toilet seat. No other rooms available to move to, no wifi, no heat and it does get cold at night. If this place was refurbished I would be afraid to see what it was like before. Just don’t book it and do yourself a favor. Don’t think Marriott should be affiliated with this hotel. Extremely disappointed

Stayed Jan 2026 Horrible service, rooms with good decor but extremely noisy, other guests complaining about the noise of the bar. Lack of staff responsiveness at the breakfast restaurant and front desk. Tips included on the bill which is hugely problematic as it leads to very poor service. No ironing board in our room so requested it and was told it would arrive--but never did. This is not a 4 star hotel in Kew West, I would say 3 stars at best. This is likely the worse stay I've had at marriot bonvoy property--even ones advertised as lower stars. I get its an old building and there will be issues with heating and cooling but to me if you are going to renovate it should be on what matters to guests not just the decor--We did not book a suite over duval street because we knew it would be noisy yet were given a suite over duval street and told there were no quieter rooms to change to. In my opinion they should have focused on the environmental comforts of the room and less on the decor--which was nice. Better sound proofing, and more responsive staff in the front desk, the restaurant and overall. The service needs a massive overhaul there. We will not be staying there again. The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly. If they had focused on actual service and even with older rooms it would have been better in my opinion. The AC was extremely loud. We heard from another guest who was staying on Floor 2 (we were on floor 4) just above the bar they hadn't been able to sleep at all due to the noise. That's simply ridiculous--even if its on DuVal street people want to sleep in their hotel rooms at some point and not have to listen to the raucous of the bar. The renovations should have focused on better sound proofing of the rooms (carpet, soundproof drapes and even better insulation) on that side especially over the bar area. They should have focused on updated the ac/heating as well. I am giving it 3 stars because of the decor and location but honestly for the price it really isn't worth staying here.

Great location!! Maria at front desk was so hospitable, explained everything in great detail. Dima provided excellent service with our luggage and information on our room. Room was clutter free and clean. Pool bartender Wilfredo was fantastic, very attentive, wonderful service!!! Our last day instead of venturing out, we changed plans, decided to just relax at hotel all day soaking in last of the warm weather which was easy to do because of hotels welcoming environment.

Take me to La Concha! This hotel is awesome.All newly refurbished with taste. The suite with terrace view city and sea was ideal for our stay.The service exceptional. Especially , the valet parking.Very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was huge and delicious.The Mojito at the bar Well done.The concierge service much appreciated.This hotel is on Duval street so you can start shopping right away.
