Ka'anapali Beach Club in Lahaina, HI

The property is at a great location - grocery store, car rental, beach, are all within walking distance. The hotel itself was nice, the rooms could use some updating and the staff were mostly friendly. We were approached and pressured into attending a timeshare meeting so that was the most negative experience.

Overall, we were very happy with the size of the 1 bedroom unit. Restaurant/snack bar had great food after a day at beach. Bar was expensive, $9 for a beer at happy hour, which explains why everyone is down at the pool and hot tub with a canned beverage! Room was clean and insect free, even for Hawaii! Traded this unit with RCI and was skeptical after reading the reviews, but it appears that Hilton is working on improvements!

There is no beach access directly from this resort. Although it is a beach front resort, the resort has put a rod iron fence directly in front of the beach/ocean. You can access from the north side of the resort, next to the neighboring resort, however the steps are make shift and are difficult for some people to step down (approximately 4 large steps

Front Desk and Concierge services were top notch, got us checked in quickly, provided valuable info for things and local discounts. Our room was ready for us, extremely clean, well equipped and generously resourced. Partial view of ocean was amazing and balcony was decently sized. The Activity Center was a blessing for our kids (the foosball and bowling alley could use with some upgrades). Our kids loved the Holiday Bingo and the fish feeding activities. Food at the restaurant was yummy and good value for money. Plenty of food trucks, grocery store and restaurants at walking distance. Self service grilling is a great amenity. Hotel property is spacious, clean and well maintained. We did not feel any distractions due to the ongoing renovations on the property. Parking garage is a little challenge to find parking but at least its covered. Walking access to the beach is a super plus. We felt safe to be on the beach at all times of the day and late evenings. The pool, spa, kids slide was amazing with plenty of beach chairs available. Public bathrooms at the pool were cleaned regularly. Pool towel team was always available ensured clean/warm towels are available. Bar at the pool was fun to hang out and everybody was kind and friendly, with daily live entertainment.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful resort with awesome views and friendly staff. A BIG THX to Lady Ann for upgrading us to OV unit due to availability and bc we were celebrating my bday and our anniversary. Normally RCI members get island view units. This was originally Embassy Suites, then Diamond Resorts purchased it, now 2yrs ago Hilton Vacation Club bought this property. Enjoyed ocean & pool views and sound of waterfalls from our balcony. Pool and jacuzzies are open till 10pm, nightly entertainment in the bar area on Fri-Sat-Sun from 6-9pm. There is a restaurant on-site for take-out, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner till 8pm. Pretty good gym and BBQ grills. Ample underground parking, included in resort fee. Walking distance to shops and eateries, and food trucks. Laundry is in a shared location, they supply detergent for convenience. The unit is well appointed and nicely furnished. The bathroom is huge with a shower and tub and double sink. Ironing table and iron is in the bedroom closet. NOTE there is no stove in the unit but there is an electric skillet for making eggs or light meals. The kitchen has a full size dishwasher and fridge, coffee maker, toaster, electric skillet, rice cooker, hot water kettle, and set of 4 dishes since it was a 1BD unit. For 2days there was no hot water in the shower, only tepid water but they fixed it eventually. The staff is very attentive, they text you w/ updates and guests can request supplies or report issues via text which are promptly handled. The taxes in Hawaii have gone up a lot, plus RCI members pay $30/day resort fee so expect to spend around $55/day on resort fees & taxes. Overall a great stay! Highly recommend!!
