We had a great experience at the condo. Our room was clean but a little outdated. We were on the 3rd fooor and every night at sundown there were birds that flew in and got very loud and annoying! They left about sunrise. The grounds were beautiful. The pools were very nice. We were really disappointed in the beach because the whole time we were there we didn’t have a beach we could sit and enjoy. All overall, we had a great time!!

Beautiful property, we visited for 13 days for our daughter’s wedding , which was held on property. There is a restaurant and tiki bar on property which also has a good happy hour. There are 2 pools with hot tubs as well, and a small walkable beach. I would definitely visit again!

"A good place, but stay away if you don't like loud birds"

We spent 5 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. The place had nice amenities with 2 hot tubs and 2 pools, beach. Kitchen had good amenities. The beds were comfortable, water pressure was awful. The location was convenient and had food trucks and grocery store across the street. There was only 1 flaw with this resort. We stayed in Penthouse level and there are a lot of birds that hang out on the balcony. Their poo accumulated in our 5 days there. I am not sure which of the birds it was, but they made a very very loud noise at dusk, night and before sunrise. No biggie if you are inside, but it can get annoying where your are on your balcony. The staff were pleasant.

I never write reviews but I felt I needed to after seeing a few that were not happy. After researching and going over what seems like millions of reviews for many of the resorts in this area, we decided on Aston Kaanapali Shores. I saw a few disappointing reviews, but decided to give it a chance and I am so thrilled that I did. This resort was absolutely fantastic. It is beautiful on the outside and inside. Staff: So friendly and welcoming and helpful with every encounter. (the only disappointing encounter was with the activities concierge. She did not seem very happy to be there and had a very annoyed demeanor, so we decided to just book our own activities.) Grounds: The grounds of this resort are absolutely stunning. The courtyard is full of lush, green trees, grass, flowers and is beautiful. The pools are spectacular as well as the hot tubs which were always hot! There was an adorable black cat that loved to escort people to the beach steps and back to the courtyard. There was another tuxedo cat that always supervised the valet! There are a few shops, which was also a nice touch being right at the resort. Our Room: Our room was so spacious and exceptionally clean well stocked and simple. The bed was super comfy. The bedding was very clean as well as everything else in the room. The furniture was simple and comfy and showcased Hawaiian culture which we appreciated so much. Our room was an ocean view and it was fabulous. 10 minutes after we got to our room, we looked out onto the balcony and saw a whale breaching, which was incredible! There is no housekeeping service unless you stay seven nights or more, but we were totally fine with that as we had a washer dryer in our room and just took our trash out to the trash shoot which was right next to the elevator. They also have many activities you can sign up for like hula and ukulele lessons, lay, making, cultural arts, and crafts, showcase, etc. Overall: I highly recommend Kaanapali Shores for anyone whether you are a couple family or even traveling solo. All the guests there were respectful there wasn’t anyone yelling or screaming playing loud music, it was just incredibly peaceful yet family friendly and quiet enough to enjoy everything. And you can walk right onto the beautiful beach just past the pool. Also, we could walk to anything that we needed across the street in the shopping center, which has a grocery store, multiple food, places, surfboard rentals, etc. The food truck park is also right next-door, which was so convenient and awesome to have. I would absolutely 100% stay here again!!

Absolutely one of the very best places to stay in Maui. We have had the pleasure of staying at Aston Kaanapali Shores 8 times throughout the years. We have seen sea turtles and monk seals on the beach in front of our condo and the whales in January/February put on an awesome show. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very comfortable and the staff is unbelievable, always anxious to help out with anything you need. The pools and hot tubs surround beautiful garden and ocean views. Restaurants and stores are close by. An absolutely beautiful place to stay.
