Although we stayed only one night at this hotel the two ladies that worked the front desk both the night before our stay and once we arrived were amazing!!! Catherine handled my question about our reservation very professionally and kindly! She also greeted us when we arrived on Thursday afternoon, 3/27, and made us welcome before our check in time!! I’m sorry that I didn’t pay attention to the second woman who helped us that same afternoon at around 3pm but, she was absolutely fantastic as well!!! They both made our short visit extremely enjoyable!!

Stayed one night on our way to Ponce Inlet. Great location to walk to the historic district. Easy walk to the Hop On Hop Off Trolley Depot. Plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy. The hotel is very clean and the staff is excellent. Very friendly and engaging. Hampton Inn rarely disappoints!

Room was spacious, bed was comfortable but pillows flat, shower with good water pressure and ample hot water, working room refrigerator, average/usual hot breakfast choices. Luckily, I only booked 1 night in advance. Moved to another hotel for the next 3 nights to avoid parking fees.

Downtown St. Augustine has extremely limited parking options, so we chose to stay a short distance outside of the historic area. The Holiday Inn Historic (now, Hampton Inn) proved to be a very good lodging alternative, especially for those who have a car for the easy 5-minute drive to downtown St. Augustine. Walking is also an option for those who prefer, with about 20-25 minutes to arrive in the main historic area. The hotel was clean and inviting, with well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, good showers, and appropriate lighting. The staff was professional and helpful. Due to very limited parking in all of St. Augustine, the hotel does charge $20 per day for parking but, given the situation, it is understandable and the reasonable room rates make up for this additional charge, in my opinion. The breakfast area is small and has few options, so we chose to eat meals at local establishments. All in all, a solid choice for lodging outside of downtown St. Augustine.
