Hampton Inn Ukiah, featuring Tuscan influences, is less than a mile from the Redwood Highway in wine country, under 1.5 miles from the Grace Hudson Museum & Sun House, and less than 20 minutes from Lake Mendocino.

Rooms feature private balconies with views of the outdoor pool or mountains. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. TV and a coffee maker are included. Bathrooms feature WaterPik shower heads and a curved shower rod, allowing more space.

"Great property, but one serious concern during recent stay."

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn Ukiah many times, and it has consistently been one of my go-to properties when traveling through the area. As a Hilton brand hotel, you typically know what to expect-and this property usually delivers. The service has always been friendly and welcoming, with team members like Robert and Mario making check-in smooth and professional. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and the recent renovations really show. I especially enjoy the fireplace rooms facing the pool or city. Breakfast is solid, WiFi is reliable, and overall consistency has been a strong point. However, my most recent stay was very different. There was a group of guests (appeared to be kids/ teens) running through the hallways, knocking on doors, playing loud music, and screaming from the pool area and balconies from around 2 AM until nearly 5 AM. I contacted the front desk multiple times (6x), he’s very polite but the situation was not resolved. Understanding why we choose to come here vs elsewhere. I was informed that they were unable to evict the guests. It’s not just me; think about the other ppl it affects throughout the hotel. As someone who travels frequently and drives long distances, sleep is not a luxury-it's a necessity for safety. Due to the lack of rest, 1 was extremely fatigued the next day and had to pull over during my drive just to avoid falling asleep at the wheel. I did mention this at checkout, but the concern did not seem to be taken seriouslsly, which was disappointing. I want to emphasize that this has not been my typical experience here, and I still value this property and the staff. However, this situation highlights the importance of enforcing quiet hours and addressing disturbances promptly-for both guest comfort and safety. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as l would absolutely like to continue staying here in the future.

"Lovely property for the price"

I have stayed at this hotel many times and my experience has always exceeded expectations. The staff are above average in customer service and hospitality with a very welcoming front desk. The rooms are clean and comfortable with an extra bathroom sink, which is convenient for two people getting ready in the morning. The pool area is beautiful, the fitness center is a good size and has the equipment I need for working out.

Everything about this hotel was above average. The staff was great, friendly, helpful, responsive. An example is I responded to their text that I could use a couple towels and 5 minutes later they were at my room's door with them. Food, the complimentary breakfast was better than 90% of hotels at this level. This isn't a fancy place but the food was good, fresh and plentiful. Waffles, premade omelets, breakfast meats, potatoes, pastries, bagels, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, drinks. My wife liked the watermelon water they had which is different. The pool and hot tub were clean and in good repair. As a former certified pool operator who managed 6 pools this pool and hot tub is 9/10. Clean, pH well balanced, chlorine didn't sting our eyes or smell, all copping tiles, and surfaces were in good repair, plentiful seating, great balance of shade and sun. Heated to very comfortable temperatures. Not too crowded even on a weekend. The room and hotel were both in good repair and well designed. Everything just worked. Basically no complaints. Room had all the basics like fridge and microwave. Comfortable on the firm side beds. Location wise it was very convenient. Easy access from and to highway 101. Costco with gas, Walmart, grocery store, all within half a mile. The Walmart and Foodmaxx(grocery store, think Winco or Food4less) were directly across the street and an easy walk. Starbucks, Panda Express, Applebee's, Jack In the Box, and local restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of convenient parking. None of the spots were inconvenient and there were plenty. We were there on a weekend in May 10 out of 10 recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay in Ukiah. My 6 year old wanted to stay longer.
