Four Seasons Hotel Boston in Boston, MA

I recently stayed two nights in a deluxe king room at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston while traveling for business. From arrival, the service was excellent and exactly what you would expect from a Four Seasons. The valet and doormen were warm and welcoming, escorting me into the hotel and introducing me to the front desk staff. Check in was quick and efficient, and I was personally escorted to the elevator with a helpful overview of the hotel’s amenities. It was a very polished and professional arrival experience. The room itself was a bit larger than the average city hotel room, which I appreciated, and it was in good condition. While some may consider the hotel slightly dated, I would describe it as having a classic, traditional feel. The room was comfortable and well maintained, even if it didn’t immediately “wow” upon entry. The bathroom was nicely done, and the shower was a highlight with strong water pressure and consistent heat, which is not always a given with modern fixtures. The only real drawback for me was the bed, which felt quite soft with some uneven firmness. It did not ruin the stay, but it was not as comfortable as I would expect at this level. Turndown service was offered on the second night. I arrived later the first evening, so I may have missed it. I also appreciated the snack vault on the floor as a nice added touch. Overall, the service was the standout and truly excellent. The room was comfortable and slightly above average in size, even if it did not quite distinguish itself compared to other high end options in the city. Bottom line: A very well run hotel with exceptional service and a comfortable stay, just short of a true wow experience in the room itself.

We had a wonderful 2 nights at the Four Seasons Boston this past week. The hotel was spotless, staff was efficient, friendly and hospitable and the entire stay was top notch. Very friendly front desk and valet/door team. Location, like always, is the best around. Staff was very helpful with reservations and anything we needed. Looking forward to returning early this summer.

Lovely hotel. Fab location. To be fair we unknowingly went on legit the busiest weekend in Boston so they were swamped. The room could use a little love but was very comfortable. We should have booked a room with queen beds instead of fulls, but that’s on us. The snack closet was amazing, the pool was so nice to have, the coffee bar and staff was the BEST. Sounds silly but also having the locker rooms (which have sauna and steam) was huge when traveling with my family. The concierge was also beyond helpful.

Spectacular experience here! My husband and I celebrated Christmas with family in Boston and opted to stay here for the duration of our week-long holiday. We previously stayed at this location in the summer and likewise had a fantastic stay and experience at that time, very much in keeping with what you’d expect at a stay in the Four Seasons. The team here is truly top notch, from the front desk, to the bar and restaurants, housekeeping and beyond, everyone is kind and amazing at ensuring the very best experience that exceeds even the highest expectations. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed and we would arrive back to our room to fresh fruit and other delights daily. Staying here for Christmas week was even more special than usual, and the team very thoughtfully curated festive touches, from the decor, to the drink and entree specials at the restaurants, to the pastry department delighting all the guests with beautiful, delicious cookies every evening, paired with hot cider. On Christmas, the team gifted FS-branded silk sleep masks and left Lauderee macarons in the rooms. Just when you think it can’t get any better, they find a way to continually elevate and make every day feel special. In addition to the incredible staff, we love this particular location for the gym and “The Vault” that they have on every floor: snacks, candy and sparkling and still water machines available on demand. A huge hit for kiddos and adults alike looking for a treat! They also boast a cafe with baristas off the lobby for guests to order coffees and specialty drinks each morning gratis. This location is so thoughtfully curated to ensure an experience that delights. From beginning to end, the incredible staff here have thought of every detail and successfully and consistently deliver a world-class luxury experience, made even more special by all the festive holiday touches. We are already planning our return trip and cannot wait to stay here again.

The Four Seasons Boston is, like all Four Seasons properties, lovely and well-situated geographically. For the most part the team was great and I appreciated how fantastic they were with my family. For kids, by the way, the hotel has this great toy closet at check-in, and The Vault on each floor with complimentary snacks was a huge hit. My main issue came at check-out with a billing miscommunication. While not a huge issue, I left the experience feeling disappointed that the hotel did not seek to easily address the situation and create a positive result. My experience at Four Seasons is they never let the customer leave unhappy. I assumed that was a company-wide principle, but it didn’t apply in this case.
