"Best Christmas Parade Cruise in 20 Years"
December 2016
I have taken the Lighted Yacht Parade cruise for over 15 years. This year was remarkable because of Capt Tom and Crew. Capt Tom wanted all of us in the spirit and asked that we call attention to our Ferry Boat as we approached the judges viewing area. We all had snacks and drinks and were enjoying the mild night. I tried to pass it along to sing Jingle Bells as we were going but I couldn't get it to catch on. I saw the first mate and asked him to tell the Captain to suggest it on the speaker. Within i minute Capt Tom invited me up and said the singing was a great idea but he needed both hands to manage the boat. He gave me the mic and introduced me as the New Even Coordinator. He and I lead several christmas songs that Everone joined in on. I pointed out other boats and told jokes and everyone was laughing and really having fun. When we passed the judges even people on the toilets were singing. All because Capt Tom and the crew saw an avenue and took it. We had a fantastic evening and I thank Blue and Gold for opening my groups holiday in a Holly Jolly Way!!!!
