The Experience Nutridge Luau menu is a mixture of Hawaiian food brought from where Hawaiians migrated from and local food, a blend of cuisines from immigrant workers from Asia, Polynesia, Europe, and America between 1850 and 1930. Items include sweet bread, local nalo greens, steamed white rice, pulehu (grilled) chicken, mini lau-lau (meat-filled taro leave wraps), kalua pua'a (shredded pork), taro loco moco (taro burger), tropical pineapple, lilikoi bars (passion fruit cookies), and haupia (coconut jello).

A unique venue for this intimate luau experience, the historic Nutridge Estate in Pu'u Ualaka'a Wayside Park is the site of Hawaii’s first macadamia nut plantation in the 1920s. It has hosted many famous guests over the years, including Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley.

If you want something new for your luau experience, try Nutridge Estates. An intimate setting on a much smaller scale than the big luau's but with all the fanfare and culture....and the food is fantastic. We had our luau in a group of 70 "family members" because in Hawaii, we are all family. Cousin Leeki greeted us with a warm welcome, wonderful Mai Tai's and a very interesting and educational tour of Polynesian culture. The show was great with authentic hula storytelling and warrior fire dances. Lawn games were played before more show and dinner including salad, rice, pork, chicken, fish, veggie patties and desserts. All of this takes place on the Nutridge Estate up in the mountains with a spectacular view of Honolulu and the sunset, below. Overall we were there about 4 hours and couldn't be more pleased with our adventure.

Have been to Oahu many times and have been to other Lu’au’s The Experience Nutridge Estate Lu’au is by far the best lu’au we’ve ever attended. Small, intimate, interactive, in the mountains with amazing views and wonderful performers and staff, made this a phenomenal experience. Mahalo for an incredible time.

It felt Very Authentic! This was our second time coming to Waikiki cause we wanted to bring our mother in law for her 65th. The first time we came we did one of those Hawaiian luau’s you can purchase from any event peddler on the Main Street. But this time we wanted something more, not just a production. So I searched and found Nutridge. Sure it was a little more than the others, but let me tell you it was worth it!! It felt like we were at a family get together! And the entertainment was balanced and top notch, as was the food and drinks. All I can say is that if you’re looking for a real authentic experience then this is the place to go. All 3 of us really enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish!

All 4 of us had a fabulous time at the Nutridge estate luau!!! We were picked up in Honolulu near our cruise ship. First stop was at the top of the mountain overlooking Honolulu. GREAT VIEW! Then we went to the estate where we learned about Hawaiian culture and saw an exciting performance of hula, followed by a delicious feast of many different Hawaiian foods. What a really enjoyable evening and one definitely not to miss!!!

The culture and history of Hawaii shared at this Luau was incredible with a little humor woven throughout. The female and male staff were talented fire eating dancers! For 4 hours we were thoroughly entertained with story-telling, history and dancing, then fed an authentic Hawaiian dinner with a show. Our view from the dining area was of Pearl Harbor, and the sunset highlighted it perfectly. We ended the evening with a Hula lesson and prizes. Would highly recommend this especially if you prefer an intimate setting rather than a big crowd. (By the way, Elvis Presley use to stay here when it was a retreat)
