Elizabeth in housekeeping provided excellent service during our stay in the Diamond Head Tower. She greeted us daily with a smile and asked if there was anything we needed. Our room was fresh and clean when we returned from each of our busy days. This definitely made our trip more pleasant.

Super dated way overpriced. Staff is rude and unhelpful. Spend your money somewhere else. They charge$ 89+ for valet and you can’t call ahead and get your car. You have to wait while they stand around and chat. The information desk told me to scan a code. Why is she there? The check in desk at the Alii tower closes early. The pools are small and crowded. The Ali tower pool has broken jagged tiles and they added spackled mounds of white plaster where tiles are missing. The mixbar has duct tape on the deck. You can’t make this stuff up! They have dvd checkout and are proud of it..A little dated? No? The resort is a zoo! If you are coming for relaxation skip this place! Save your money! The super pools have lifeguards that face away from the pool or spend the whole time looking at their phones or each other! One of the days we were in the pool one young man had headphones on as a lifeguard or pool attendant how is this possible? Eyes on the pool please! The nice restaurant The Bali served us the worst ribeye ever overcooked and tasted boiled! The restaurant was hot and humid and we waited forever for our waitress. Who seemed rushed and distracted for the entire 260.00 meal. What a joke. The Lagoon is cold and murky yuck! The beach by the Lagoon is sooo rocky you need shoes to go into the water did I mention they charge an arm and a leg for chairs and an umbrella and then bring them out with an attitude! The room service is a joke ordered breakfast one morning cold soggy scrambled eggs in a takeout box. One breakfast in a takeout container $48.00 what??? It was so gross I threw it out! The two good meals we had were at the Aoki the teppanyaki grill! It was delicious. Also don’t miss Frescos Italian Restaurant! Go for dinner and watch the sunset! So disappointed with this resort! Not sure it ever gave the resort feel! Do better Hilton

This was our first time in Hawaii and my first time staying in a resort. We arrived on a Friday afternoon which is also fireworks night. The resort was beyond packed and I remember thinking please don’t be like this every night. Well it wasn’t and it was a fabulous resort and stay. The staff were all helpful and very nice, the resort itself is full of restaurants and shops, it’s also a brilliant location to walk to the mall and shopping district. We had a lovely room with a balcony with super comfy beds. The pool area didn’t get too busy which was a blessing. My only complaint was the price to hire a sunbed on the beach. I would have expected them to be complimentary not come with a $30 a day charge. If I’m lucky enough to return to Hawaii I would definitely stay here again !

We stayed at the Grand Islander for 7 nights. We visited Bali Restaurant for dinner with a total of 6 guests to celebrate our daughters birthday. Food was amazing, service was excellent. Waitresses Summer.V went beyond to make it a special evening. She shared her local experience, she entertained the kids, and made it a special evening to remember. Her food recommendations was well loved by everyone. Thank you for everything.
