Really nothing wrong with the actual hotel except that at 2am we were woken up by extremely loud noises, music blasting, and car horns going off. We called the front desk and they said that an event was let out and people wanted to keep the party going but that police were called. I am seeing that other people have said the same things in their reviews so this seems like it happens often. It’s not in the control of the hotel, but just something to be aware of.

We recently spent 3 nights here. Arrived from the airport via the Silver Line and then a 10 minute walk. The hotel is easy to find and is behind Chinatown and next to Tufts Medical Center. Check in was very smooth and we were greeted with cookies. All staff over the week were very friendly. Our room was great. Not sure if it was because we were in a corner room but it was huge. Lots of space to walk around, store luggage and places to sit and relax. The room was so big that the bathroom was down the end of the coridoor. The bed was comfortable, huge TV and good coffee making facilities and a fridge. We used the restaurant for breakfast- very good choices, cooked fresher and a nice feeling sitting there. Good service and good pricing. We used the bar several times over the week. Great choice of drinks, sport on the tv and the barman Ishmael was wonderful- what a gent. Runs the bar excellently and there is a real fun feeling. The location is great. Around 5/6 bars around which we visited and a few restaurants. Washington street is only minutes away too and has many bars, coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The main downtown area of Boston, near the market is a 15 minute walk and Boston Commons is similar distance. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if in Boston

I wrote a negative review about Jessica at Legends Bar in the Doubletree for adding $14 for ice in drinks. However, 5 stars for Melissa (Front Desk Day shift supervisor) & Domingo (Front Desk). When I informed them of the issue and showed my mybreceipt, without hesitation they promptly refunded me to make it right Again, I’ve never had issue with any of the staff at front desk or in the hotel, including at Legends (Hotel 5 Stars, Legends 4 stars, Jessica 1 Star)

I stayed at the Hilton DoubleTree Boston and overall had a very good experience. The hotel’s location is excellent — within easy walking distance of several metro stations, the Freedom Trail, and Chinatown. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, which made dining out super convenient. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It came equipped with a safe, ironing board, and hair dryer, which was handy. The TV setup was a bit confusing — I couldn’t get live TV to work but was able to stream Netflix without any issues. A couple of minor downsides: the room lighting wasn’t great since there’s no main ceiling light and all lamps had to be switched on manually. The shower head was also quite basic. On a few nights there was some noise from across the street — loud music and car horns from the multi-storey area — but that’s probably to be expected in a busy city location. Despite these small issues, I’d definitely stay here again. The convenient location and overall comfort made it a great base for exploring Boston.
