"No cookies before 2pm (allegedly)."

Stayed 1 night & honestly, that was enough (& not just because of the cookies). Yes, according to the front desk supervisor, no cookies before 2pm because 'check-in is at 4pm, so the chef doesn't prepare cookies until 2pm'. I've never walked into a DT & not found a warming drawer behind the front desk full of cookies & never walked into a DT, or walked up to the front desk of a DT for anything, & not been offered a cookie (never mind that I can't eat them because of the walnuts, but I digress). What makes it even more bizarre is that my business partner, who arrived at 11:30 am, was offered & given cookies upon arrival. When I arrived at noon, clerk told me that 'the room is ready but since check-in isn't until 4pm, I can't give you the keys to the room unless I charge you a $25 early arrival fee'. To be clear, I didn't ask for early check-in nor apparently was there anything special done by anyone @ the hotel since, 'the room is ready', but this was simply an opportunity to extort $25 from me. It should be noted that my aforementioned business partner who arrived about 30 minutes before me, sans any reservation because he forgot to make it, was handed his room key (& cookie) w/o paying a $25 extortion fee. Had to make a trip back down to the front desk later to get my breakfast coupons, which are only valid for the 'Peel breakfast' (2 eggs/meat/potato/toast). Another trip to the front desk to change the credit card on file for my business partner only to have the hotel end up charging his personal credit card after all. AC in the 1st room was just blowing air, so that meant a room change. Had to park a car for the night ($45/self parking charge) & then the ticket machine to exit the parking lot wasn't working. And I have to say this newest decorating trend of clear lamp shades cannot end soon enough-every lamp in the room had them; not sure what the point of a clear glass lamp shade is since the result is the same as having no shade at all (hotel I'm typing this from as has a clear shade on the desk lamp to which I put a towel over it to cut down on the glare).

"Very nice hotel, will be back!"

Justa was helpful and sweet, great customer service. Rooms are large, clean, and wifi was fast. There are a ton of restaurants and shopping nearby! Parking is pretty easy but they have more around the back, not too far but if you have a lot of luggage might be a little bit of a pain.

"Good customer service and good location, but hotel mgt needs focus more on upkeep of the rooms and lobby area."

Conveniently located next to the hospital and store outlets. The customer service at this hotel is good from the valet to the front desk staff. The people were all great even the folks working at the Starbucks. Most all who work at this hotel are friendly and pleasant—except one man who works the breakfast shift in their restaurant. He was consistently rude. Hotel mgt needs to work on cleaning things up. The lobby was not very clean, especially the large decorative rug on which the lobby furniture sits. It is soiled and has several stains. I can’t imagine how this focal point in the lobby is ignored. The room. It was not very clean. The bed headboards were full of dust and had not been wiped down, which I cleaned myself. The hotel phone was dirty. The wall near the restroom had some stains that I cleaned with a Clorox wipe. I was disappointed. The usb plugs on the nightstand did not work! The room looks dated and needs to be thoroughly cleaned. I will point out, however, the sheets, pillow cases, and towels were clean. The pillows could be more comfy as well as the mattress. The mattress failed to meet my expectations regarding firmness and comfort. Also, I noticed that the hallway, from the elevator that leads to the room, did not look as though it has been vacuumed or swept. In fact, there was a paper in the corner of the hall that was there my entire stay. Never got thrown away. Overall, the customer service made up for the room experience which is why I gave it 3/5. They also have a nice seating area outside by the pool, which is nicely lit at night. The pool and surrounding garden area was well kept. I encourage mgt to take these comments as areas on which to focus, to improve the guest’s experience especially with the upkeep of the rooms. The hotel was fine for a business trip; however, I highly doubt I would bring the family and stay here for leisure.

"Great stay but frustrating with doors!"

Beautiful hotel with a bit of a quirk. I'd actually seen the same in reviews before our stay and laughed it off not realizing how aggravating it could be! We were in a suite with our son and daughter-in-law. From when we arrived, one of our room keys quit working. A member of housekeeping heard my frustration when our SECOND room key didn't work and maintenance was sent up to change batteries. But it still didn't work. Our son's key quit working, too, but his wife's was fine. We, however, always had to enter our room through theirs. I felt terrible having to bother them! Yet I was also very grateful because we'd gone to the front desk for new keys twice. Pool and hot-tub were refreshing, personnel were always helpful and kind. One even settled this midwestern gal regarding the tsunami watch while we were there! Oddly, this is the only hotel I've been to in 20 years without microwaves in the room.

"Big Disappointment"

Would love to leave a review regarding our stay, but I’m sitting in an empty lobby at 4:35pm on a Sunday afternoon still waiting for our room to be ready. As a Hilton Honors member for several years, I have never experienced this level of inefficiency before. Literally, no one else in the lobby, not like they are busy.
