My family and I had to go down to Orange County for Thanksgiving so we decided to stay at the Doubletree Fera. We are so glad we did. Leo Rosa at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this to our friends and family. Thank you, Leo for making her stay wonderful and we look forward to coming back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough about my experiences at the FERA Hotel. Every stay has been wonderful, but the true highlight—and the reason I’m writing this review—is Lee. Each time I’ve visited, Lee has been an absolute joy to talk to. His positive outlook on life doesn’t just brighten the atmosphere of the hotel, it genuinely adds value to how I look at the world. That kind of impact is rare, and it makes every visit feel more meaningful. Thank you, Lee, for making the FERA Hotel more than just a place to stay—you make it an experience worth remembering.

"Lip service"

Such a service disappointment! Worst in my 40+ years of travel! Our family stayed here from 10/29/25 to 11/4/25 for a wedding. We had asked for daily room service upon check-in. They missed cleaning our room the first day. It was late, so we just grabbed some towels and water from the front desk and chalked it up to a honest oversight. They missed cleaning our room again on the second day. We went down to the front desk again to grab some towels and ask them to bring up some toiletries and pick up the dirty towels. Of course, they never came. There was a service card in our room for contacting the hotel manager via email if we experienced any service issue. We emailed the hotel manager, Mr. Zaw Oo, about our issues during our stay but we never heard from him. We actually ran into Mr. Zaw Oo in the lobby couple of days later. We spoke to him and he acknowledged receiving our email but gave an excuse that he was out of town and could not respond. He promised to look into the issue and get back to us. WE STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM! The whole experience is such a service embarrassment. I guess the hotel staff takes their service cue from their leader, who is only good for lip service.

"Hotel Fera - NOPE"

I’ve been a loyal Hilton Honors member for more than 15 years. I’ve been a guest at the Hotel Fera specifically at least 15 times going back to when it was just the DoubleTree hotel. Additionally, as it’s close to my work I frequently recommend the location to both my employees and customers coming to the area. Sadly, I’ve stayed there my last time. I’ll not do business with this specific hotel again and in good conscience I'd not recommend it to anyone. Aryes directly across the street is cleaner, much friendlier staffed, has a better restaurant and does not charge for parking. The Delta by Marriot is about 1.5 miles away, cleaner and less expensive than the Hotel Fera. The Hotel Fera was recently acquired by a private equity firm named Spire Hospitality. I’ve stayed at the hotel 7 times in the last twelve months alone and each time I’ve been there I’ve seen a slight deterioration in the property. Housekeeping wasn’t quite up to the standard one would expect for a Hilton property. Front desk service that has gone from friendly, to abrupt has now become discourteous. My most recent experience was the proverbial straw that’s has moved me off the brand for good. I made a reservation on 10/13/25 for a one night stay three days later. 12 hours after I’d made the reservation, I had a personal issue arise that necessitated I cancel the room and reschedule for later in the week. I logged on to my Hilton Honors account to cancel the reservation as I’ve done many times in the past when plans change. But this time, whenever I attempted to cancel the reservation, I got some kind of a generic error message that suggested I try again later. Assuming there was some kind of system glitch I called the hotel directly the morning of 10/14, less than 24 hours after I’d made the reservation. I spoke to a front desk person that was plainly not having a very good day, and she made it crystal clear that I was making it worse for her. When I explained to her that I needed to cancel my reservation that was still 48 hours in the future she said “that’s impossible.” I mentioned that I was a Hilton Honors member and a frequent guest of this hotel, she said the reservation would have needed to be cancelled 72 hours in advance. Now mind you 72 hours would have been about 3 hours before I even made the reservation! I asked to speak to a manager, and she disconnected me. I called back and with a huff she said she would transfer me…and again I was disconnected. On my third try I finally was successfully transferred…to voice mail for one James Chudy. Mr. Chudy did not bother to return my message, so 24 hours later I left him a second one. After another 12 hours went by, and with my check in date now only 24 hours away I called back to the hotel and asked for James Chudy’s email. My first email of course went without reply from Mr. Chudy. Only after my second email did Mr. Chudy choose to grace me with a response. His response was that he would do nothing to help with the situation. I would be stuck with the full cost of the room as that was the “policy.” Suspect management and the deterioration of a once fine business at the hands of private equity. The leadership at this hotel is willing to throw away long-term brand loyalty for the chance to bend you over for a single nights room rental. There are much better alternatives than this shabbily run operation.

"No cookies before 2pm (allegedly)."

Stayed 1 night & honestly, that was enough (& not just because of the cookies). Yes, according to the front desk supervisor, no cookies before 2pm because 'check-in is at 4pm, so the chef doesn't prepare cookies until 2pm'. I've never walked into a DT & not found a warming drawer behind the front desk full of cookies & never walked into a DT, or walked up to the front desk of a DT for anything, & not been offered a cookie (never mind that I can't eat them because of the walnuts, but I digress). What makes it even more bizarre is that my business partner, who arrived at 11:30 am, was offered & given cookies upon arrival. When I arrived at noon, clerk told me that 'the room is ready but since check-in isn't until 4pm, I can't give you the keys to the room unless I charge you a $25 early arrival fee'. To be clear, I didn't ask for early check-in nor apparently was there anything special done by anyone @ the hotel since, 'the room is ready', but this was simply an opportunity to extort $25 from me. It should be noted that my aforementioned business partner who arrived about 30 minutes before me, sans any reservation because he forgot to make it, was handed his room key (& cookie) w/o paying a $25 extortion fee. Had to make a trip back down to the front desk later to get my breakfast coupons, which are only valid for the 'Peel breakfast' (2 eggs/meat/potato/toast). Another trip to the front desk to change the credit card on file for my business partner only to have the hotel end up charging his personal credit card after all. AC in the 1st room was just blowing air, so that meant a room change. Had to park a car for the night ($45/self parking charge) & then the ticket machine to exit the parking lot wasn't working. And I have to say this newest decorating trend of clear lamp shades cannot end soon enough-every lamp in the room had them; not sure what the point of a clear glass lamp shade is since the result is the same as having no shade at all (hotel I'm typing this from as has a clear shade on the desk lamp to which I put a towel over it to cut down on the glare).
