Visiting Disney Theme Parks is a dream come true. My new favorite attraction is Flight of Passage at Pandora: The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom. Be sure to get a FastPass+, though, as everyone else loves it too. It is a magical and an out of this world experience. And night time gets even better with amazing light shows and effects!

Choose from Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom. Reservations are based on availability.

Theme Park with Park Hopper Option
You can buy the Park Hopper Ticket for 1–10 days. It gives you admission to more than one theme park per day. Guests will be able to visit the next park starting at 2 p.m. until each park's regularly scheduled closure. The ability to visit a park is subject to the park's capacity limitations. At this time, a park reservation is not required after the first park; however, reservation requirements are subject to change.

Ticket with Genie+
This new service, offered at more than 40 attractions and experiences throughout Walt Disney World theme parks, lets you select the next available arrival window for Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane experiences all day long! You can make one selection at a time, starting at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit (experiences are subject to limited availability). If your theme park ticket includes the Park Hopper option, you can select Lightning Lane arrival windows across multiple theme parks.

Park Updates:
Park Pass Availability
To enter one of the parks, in addition to valid admission, each guest is required to make a theme park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system. Check to see if your desired date and park are currently available before purchasing your ticket. Please make your reservation immediately after you purchase your ticket, as availability can change. Availability is subject to change and may not reflect the reservations available at the time you make your reservation in the Disney Park Pass reservation system. The Park Hopper tickets require a reservation for the first park they plan to visit, and you may enter another park after 2 p.m.; park capacity limitations may apply.

Strollers
The parks are adjusting their guidelines on stroller sizes, which will require strollers to be no larger than 31" (79 cm) wide and 52" (132 cm) long or smaller. Also, just a reminder that wagons are not permitted in the parks. Stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted.

Smoking
Smoking areas will no longer be present inside Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks, water parks, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, or Downtown Disney in California.
TIP: Designated smoking areas will be available outside the entrances to the areas listed above and at Disney Springs in Florida. For guests who have room or dining reservations, smoking areas are also available at Disney Resort hotels.

Loose Ice
Loose or dry ice is no longer permitted.
TIP: We recommend using reusable ice packs instead. Complimentary cups of ice are available at Food & Beverage locations inside the parks if needed.

Disney was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Best experience we have had on a vacation! Tons of fabulous rides; gorgeous grounds; huge amount of places to eat, snack & make memories! We haven’t ever been to a place with so many wonderful employees! Everyone made us feel special and that they truly enjoyed helping us to feel comfortable and taken care of! Even with so many people in the parks - which was truly overwhelming - we had the very best time! So much fun and we truly appreciate all that Disney does to make it an experience of a lifetime!

December 2022
Our families first day at disney was highly disappointing. We waited hours for rides, only to be turned away when it was our turn due to technical difficulties, however the ride was still completely functioning with people still getting on. We were required to have reservations for parks, yet, there were so many people in the parks that at one point we were literally with our chests pressed into the person in front of yous back. I had to carry my toddler, because holding her hand with her walking beside me, I could not even see her. We set our hopes up to see the "magic" and we saw nothing of the sort. We ended up paying $32 for a bubble wand for our daughter because she was not able to ride a single thing at Hollywood studios due to waits. I don't understand the reservation requirements if the parks are just going to be over crowded anyway. Our second day at Animal Kingdom was great, we still had wait times, but otherwise the crowds were great and the park itself was amazing. As a family we have decided to never go back at Christmas, and surely not to the fireworks again. As great as the fireworks were, the crowd was down right insane and scary, people did not care if they pushed you or your kids over or cut your kid in line in order to get better for themselves, and the place itself is a complete money racket. We expected to spend a lot but there were simple things that were marked up SO SO much...
I know that we will go back , but we will never do the firework show again and we will NEVER go around a holiday ever again.

"Lots of Fun"
December 2022
We really enjoyed our experience at the park. Our group ranged in age from 60s to a 6 year old, and we did the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood studios. Everyone had fun riding various rides. I do recommend doing a bit of planning beforehand so you can figure out what rides and experiences are things you absolutely want to do, and what is not as much of a priority. At the same time, you have to be so much flexible, depending on what lines are long, and if certain rides break down. We found that the official Disney World app was helpful as far as wait times went, but there were a few times where once we got in line, the wait time shot up. We did not do the genie plus lightning lane, but we went at an off time of the year on purpose to avoid lower crowds. The most we waited for anyone ride was about 40 minutes, and that was because it was experiencing some surge in traffic due to a ton of lightning Lane people showing up and wanting on. But we were able to ride all of the rides we wanted, a lot of the classic rides were so fun and delighted our children, such as the tiki room, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The coasters were great, too, enough for young thrill seekers , but not too much to scare them off while still being enjoyable for adults. The only park where it felt insanely crowded was the Magic Kingdom. The other ones are pretty easy to navigate and get around, but even on a down time of year, the kingdom was packed.

Tip: Pack a ton of snacks and food yourself: you (and the kids) will get hungry and need to eat all day. They let you bring food in, no problem.

Tip: Reservations for each park required and I don't know if this will change....so you need to do your homework and find out what is happening at each park for your plans, because they may have a special party and it requires a special ticket and cost for that day....

"Disney during the Holidays"
November 2022
We enjoyed our droid experience at Hollywood Studios! Our favorite part was the park hopping to Epcot the 2 days we were at Disney. They had their International food and wine festival going on, and we had such a fun time trying a multitude of foods that we can't routinely find back home. It was a great adult experience! I was a child the last time I was at Disney, so it was so wonderful to be back.

Frequently Asked Questions about Disney World® Theme Parks

Do I need to make a reservation prior to arrival?

Yes, to enter a park, BOTH a Park Reservation and Valid Admission Ticket is required prior to arrival. Please check to see if your desired date and theme park is available BEFORE purchasing your ticket by clicking on the Check Availability Calendar. After purchase, visit your Disney World account at StartYourDisneyExperience.com and select the date you plan on attending the park through the Disney Park Pass reservation system. Given the limited availability of park reservations, it is recommended that you make your theme park reservations immediately after purchasing your admission. Buying a ticket does not guarantee you admission into a park without an advance reservation. Capacity is limited and sells out fast during peak periods. Park Hopper tickets require a Park Reservation for the first park they plan to visit for each day. You can hop another park with the Park Hopper after 2 pm.

How does My Disney Experience work after I purchase my tickets?

You will be provided a My Disney Experience linking code immediately upon purchase. It will be listed on your Tripster voucher. You should visit a desktop computer (not the app) to link your linking code number to your Disney Experience account to set-up your advance park reservation. The My Disney Experience allows you to manage your reservations, tickets, and daily itineraries on your My Plans page, view and update your profile, see your Disney PhotoPass photos taken at Walt Disney World Resort and update your Family & Friends list.

Is there still a free option for expedited access to attractions?

All of the attractions will have either traditional standby or virtual queue options. To access the new Lightning Lane entrance, guests can either purchase the Disney Genie+ bundle for a variety of attractions or purchase and schedule an individual arrival time at some of their most highly demanded attractions (subject to availability).

What is a Lightning Lane entrance?

A Lightning Lane entrance is a new queue available at select attractions and experiences through options guests can purchase to save time in line. To use a Lightning Lane entrance, a guest must select an arrival window through the My Disney Experience mobile app before embarking on the attraction or experience. You can purchase this feature through Disney directly. Option #1: Through Disney Genie+ Service: Guests who have purchased Disney Genie+ service may select the next available arrival window for its Lightning Lane entrances, one at a time, throughout regular park hours. More than 40 attractions and entertainment experiences across the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are included in the service. Disney Genie+ service is an additional cost and can be purchased with your ticket type. Option #2: By Making an Individual Lightning Lane Entrance Purchase: Lightning Lane entrance as an “á la carte” purchase will be offered at a few of their most popular attractions. Pricing will vary by date, attraction, and park. This option can be purchased by all guests—with or without the purchase of Disney Genie+ service—and lets you choose a time to arrive at the Lightning Lane entrance at up to 2 attractions each day (purchased one at a time).

When can guests make Lightning Lane selections?

Guests who have purchased Disney Genie+ service can make their first selection at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit. For individual Lightning Lane purchases, guests of a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels* can make their first purchase starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit. All other guests can make their first purchase at the regular time the park opens. Pricing and availability will vary by date, attraction, and park. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience mobile app on the day of your visit for current prices and attraction availability.

Will Disney Genie+ and purchases of individual Lightning Lane attraction selections link to Disney MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile service?

Yes, guests can use their Disney MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile service to redeem their Lightning Lane selections as long as they link their valid ticket admission to their account. Please note the Genie+ and Lighting Lane is an additional cost and can be purchased through Disney directly.

What is a MagicBand?

Your MagicBand allows you to enter the parks, unlock your Walt Disney World® Resort hotel room and buy food and merchandise. The MagicBand is not required but is a magical way to experience your visit.

Are special ticketed events included with my admission ticket?

No, special event tickets such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and any other special ticket that permits admission for only part of the day/evening are not included. A special event ticket can only be purchased through Walt Disney World Resort directly.

Which Walt Disney World restaurants take reservations?

Select restaurants at the 4 theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs take reservations. In addition, select dinner shows and special dining events also take reservations. Book reservations online through your Disney Experience account. Please note, lounges and quick-service restaurants do not offer reservations.

Can a Disney Dining Plan be added on to my Walt Disney World Resort reservation?

No. A Disney Dining Plan cannot be added to your reservation when purchased through our website. If you wish to purchase a Disney Dining Plan, that must be done through Walt Disney World Resort directly at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. Disney Dining Plans cannot be adjusted or added to your Disney Resort reservation upon arrival to the property.

What is included with the Disney Park Hopper vs Park Hopper Plus?

Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus Options both include same-day admission to all 4 theme parks on each day of your ticket (Magic Kingdom®, Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, Epcot® and Disney's Hollywood Studios®). In addition, the Disney Park Hopper Plus option includes additional admissions to a water park or other Walt Disney World attraction including: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park (Currently Unavailable) Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports complex (Currently Unavailable), one round at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course - FootGolf, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course (Greens Fees Only), one round of miniature golf at Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature golf course or one round of miniature golf at Disney's Winter Summerland Golf Course. The additional admissions you receive are as follows: 1 Day Park Hopper Plus = 1 Extra Admission 2 Day Park Hopper Plus = 2 Extra Admissions 3 Day Park Hopper Plus = 3 Extra Admissions 4 Day Park Hopper Plus = 4 Extra Admissions 5 Day Park Hopper Plus = 5 Extra Admissions 6 Day Park Hopper Plus = 6 Extra Admissions 7 Day Park Hopper Plus = 7 Extra Admissions 8 Day Park Hopper Plus = 8 Extra Admissions 9 Day Park Hopper Plus = 9 Extra Admissions 10 Day Park Hopper Plus = 10 Extra Admissions

Does the Park Hopper Option provide admission to the water parks?

No. Disney Theme Park Tickets with the Park Hopper Option do not include admission to the Disney water parks. However, Disney Theme Park Tickets with the Park Hopper Plus Option do include a certain number of admissions to the water parks—based on the number of days in your ticket. If you wish to visit a Disney water park, we recommend that you add the Park Hopper Plus Option to your ticket. Individual admission tickets are also available at the Main Entrance of each water park.

Can I use a multi-day base ticket to enter more than one Walt Disney World® park per day?

No. Disney base tickets, even if purchased for multiple days, can only be used for one park per day. Guests cannot purchase base tickets, no matter how many days the tickets are valid for, and use them for more than one park per day. If you would like to visit more than one park per day, you will need to purchase a ticket with Park Hopper option. The Park Hopper allows you to enter the second park starting after 2 pm.

Is there an expiration date on the tickets that I am ordering?

Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets are valid for admission beginning on the selected start date and must be used within the valid use period provided at the time of purchase. Here are the details: 1-day – The ticket expires on the selected start date. 2-day – The ticket expires 4 days after the selected start date. 3-day – The ticket expires 5 days after the selected start date. 4-day – The ticket expires 7 days after the selected start date. 5-day – The ticket expires 8 days after the selected start date. 6-day – The ticket expires 9 days after the selected start date. 7-day – The ticket expires 10 days after the selected start date. 8-day – The ticket expires 12 days after the selected start date. 9-day – The ticket expires 13 days after the selected start date. 10-day – The ticket expires 14 days after the selected start date. These expiration dates also apply to Florida Resident Tickets. Add one extra day of use if Park Hopper® Plus option selected. For example, a 6-day base ticket with a start date of November 1 is valid any 6 days from November 1 to November 9. For example, a 6-day Park Hopper® Plus Option ticket with a start date of November 1 is valid any 6 days from November 1 to November 10.

What is the best way to dress for a day at the parks? Is there any clothing that isn't permissible?

The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for the parks. Ensuring that the parks are family-friendly is an important part of the Walt Disney World® Resort experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense.

Are tickets transferable? Can I give them to someone else to use the remaining days?

Please note that all Theme Park Tickets are nontransferable and must be used by the same person on any and all days. The person who uses the ticket for the very first time must use the ticket for its entirety. Any tickets that are transferred are in violation of this restriction and are invalid for admission.
