"The Worst Stay of my Life!"

We stayed at this hotel for four nights only because we were part of a group and it was required we stay here. From the moment we arrived, it was one issue after another. We are Marriott Platinum Elite members, and our account clearly notes that we are eligible for upgrade or a preferred room. None were even considered or looked at in our account. Instead, we were given whatever room was available which was an ADA-accessible room that did not meet our needs. The room had virtually no storage, and I immediately knew it would not work for our stay. I then called the front desk and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. When I finally went downstairs figuring it would be quicker than sitting on hold the employee who answered the phone — along with two others — were simply chatting and laughing while I was on hold. We spoke with the manager, who promised that we would be moved to a different room when we returned from dinner. When we came back, no one had any idea what we were talking about. The lack of communication was unbelievable. They eventually moved us to another room, which smelled like a combination of vomit and heavy Febreze, so we were forced to return to the original room. The manager said we would be contacted the next day to switch rooms. Two days passed and no one ever called. When confronted, staff claimed they had contacted us which was false. I showed my phone records, and they were clearly caught in the lie. Multiple people in our group had their rooms switched due to foul odors, so this was not an isolated issue. Our room itself was disgusting: • Soiled bedsheets upon arrival • A stain on the carpet that looked like blood • The shower curtain rod fell while we were showering • Extremely dated condition with lifting carpet and visible wear This hotel is old, dirty, poorly maintained, and severely lacking in customer service. My best advice- DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR YOUR FAMILY THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE! This stay was stressful and disappointing, and I would never want another family’s vacation ruined by the cleanliness issues, broken promises, and complete lack of accountability we experienced here. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Let's start with the good bits , - The hotel is minutes away from the parks and has a good selection of food and shopping nearby, - The town of celebration if walking distance and a great place to visit, - The grounds including the pools and seating areas are a great asset and well used , - The parking is free, Now for the bad - The lifts are terrible only one working and even it didn't go to floor 8 because the button wasn't working, when I asked reception how to get to my floor he said the stairs but when I used them the door on 8 was locked , went back to ask again only for security to become aggressive and I walked away to get help from another guest , -The rooms are tired and due to the lift issues are not always cleaned but keeping do a good job and should be praised, - Maintenance is an issue with multiple things going wrong or breaking in the room and the hallways, -The letter in the room states to talk to them as they want 100% satisfaction but when you do your brushed off with the usual corporate speak -They advertise shuttle to parks but the times are not great and it doesn't always turn up so we drove, again spoken to desk who didn't care and told us to wait its free after all!!, In conclusion, we loved the outside spaces and location but would not recommend anyone picking this resort as it will spoil your trip, I know its only a place to rest your head between busy park days but this one should be avoided.

"Good location, but hotel needs serious improvement"

The location is ideal, being only about 10 minutes from Disney. We used Uber every day, as the hotel shuttle was consistently delayed on some mornings it arrived up to 40 minutes after the time. I am aware it is an external company, but just be aware if you plan to use it like we did! While we can’t complain too much about the price as we booked flights and hotel together, we would have been very disappointed if we’d paid full price directly. The car park is not secure, yet there is still a charge to use it. The rooms are large and spacious, with comfortable beds and a good-sized TV. The air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool, but it is very old and extremely loud, which would be an issue for anyone who needs silence to sleep. The bathroom extraction fan was also ridiculously loud and clearly outdated. However, the windows were covered in green mildew on the outside, which made the room very dark. One of the hotel elevators was broken for our entire 14-night stay, meaning we had to walk up three flights of stairs most days, as the only working lift was usually being used by staff. Housekeeping was minimal, beds were made and towels changed, but the room was never dusted or vacuumed during our entire stay. We also had to repeatedly remind staff to restock coffee and water. The wardrobe was rusty and marked some of our clothes. The shower pressure was very weak and the fixture was hanging off the wall. The hallways smelled strongly of damp throughout the hotel. The reception area looks nice and staff there were welcoming and friendly, but unfortunately it does not reflect the condition of the rooms or the overall state of the hotel.

"Poor experience at Delta Marriott Kissimmee"

Find another hotel. All but one of the elevators were out of service. When I called the front desk to let them know the lady was rude and condescending. The housekeepers were riding the lone elevator all the way down to ride it back up to their floors. Multiple guests on my floor waited a ridiculously long time for the elevator so they could leave. Plus, this elevator had the 8th floor button punched out of the panel. I had to carry my four suitcases down stairs to wait on the elevator. The bathtub wouldn’t drain and the water would just sit in there. The sandwich I ordered from their Starbucks had a plastic wrapper in it.

"Charged double for hotel, earned half the MQDs."

Delta Vacations is not good value for the money. I beg anyone considering this to think twice and do due diligence. It simply isn't worth it-at least not to me. If you are a medallion member, it REALLY isn't worth it. Just book the trip without going through DV. You'll save a lot of money and headache. We booked a delta vacation because we were close to the next medallion level, and thought that would be a great way to make it to the next level--IF it really was dollar for dollar. So I called and checked. Yes, it was dollar for dollar, I was told. Both flights and hotel. So I went ahead and looked for a trip. We chose Brussels. Before I booked, I called and asked some questions about flights, and also again asked, dollar for dollar on air and hotel? Yes. But this time she added, "but the person who books and pays gets the hotel MQDs. I asked why. She said because there is no way to split it. Oh, I say, OK, I get that. So I book the trip. When I'm booking the trip however, I notice that the hotel is priced per person, and it is full freight-for BOTH people. I check the hotel pricing outside of DV, and discover we both have to pay the regular price for the hotel, effectively charging us twice what it would be if we had just booked it ourselves. I paused here, but pushed on to see what airfare was. Airfare was about 1500 cheaper than if we just booked them ourselves. So the total difference between the two turned out to be about 1500. We were ok with that if it mean we'd get the MQD's for the hotel. Little did I know. So that was the first experience...then on the way there, we get delayed in Amsterdam because of fog. We call, and are told you need DV, not Delta airlines. I didn't know this until after the fact, but there seem to be complaints about how they handle issues with travel interruptions-no one wants to take responsibility for helping when things go wrong. So we get to Brussels, albeit a little delayed, but otherwise good. The week was great. Loved Brussels and all the cities we visited there. Time to come home. After getting home, we see that the MQDs aren't what they should be. And I don't mean a little off. I mean WAY off. We paid almost 53% in taxes and fees (I've googled this and researched, it's 20% more than any other flight, including an identical flight I checked on Delta. There is no reason in my mind to book a delta vacation, especially considering the double hotel charge.
