"FYI this show is NOT the biblical medieval times"

I was sold the dream of "medieval times but make it biblical" and was excited to enjoy some unique entertainment in Pigeon Forge, however the show was not as it advertised. It ended up bringing up religious trauma from my childhood, using music and sob stories to emotionally manipulate the audience into believing in God (and in this case, into donating money to the family's coffee shop and new church venture). If you're looking for a kitschy, fun night of entertainment, look elsewhere. If you're looking to attend an emotionally intense church service while eating a baked potato, then this will suit your needs! I will echo other folks who mentioned that the front desk and women who served drinks/cleared plates were exceptionally kind and welcoming, but ultimately this felt like we paid to be asked for more money for this family's various business ventures.

The food was great and the desk folks very nice. BUT it was otherwise not nearly what I expected. I am here celebrating successful hear surgery and expected entertainment but instead heard one testimony after another. Needs way less talk and lots more music. It very much reminded me of a one man band. The mother and girls can truly sing and the “ Daniel was fair as an actor. If you are looking for southern gospel- you aren’t gonna get much. If you think the halogens are gonna be awesome( like I did) it was a tremendous let down for instance the lion was about 9 feet tall beside a regular sized male and the other murals looked like drawn pictures. . And- all the actors and even the scene of Jesus in the throne were white people… there were 2 African- American kids in front of me and it only took about 5 minutes to realize they were the only ones of color in house or on screen

We left halfway through. We felt bamboozled by what the show promised versus what it delivered. On the plus side, the baked potato bar was what we expected and the ladies serving us in our seats were very nice. The show advertises an hour of varied gospel music from 5:30 to 6:30. In fact, the music did not start until 6:15. While the quality of music was good, the content was NOT a variety of gospel music. It was contemporary christian (we don’t know a single song) interspersed with tales of each performer’s personal woe and appeals for support for the church and coffee shop the family wants to launch. I felt that we paid a hefty price to go to heavy handed church service. It was so painful that we left before the Daniel part of the show even started. The entire experience was billed as lasting from 5:30 to 7:30 , but when we left after 7:00, the Daniel part had not even started. I would never recommend this experience and wish we had chosen a different show.

"Great night of music, worship, food and Bible teaching."

My husband and I recently went to the Biblical Theater to see Daniel, A Message That Transends Time. First we went through a buffet line, served by the performers. At most dinner theaters, the performers wouldn't be caught dead serving others. Not here. The food was a massive loaded potato, a variety of meats, beans, corn, broccoli, roll, and choice of apple or cherry turnover. It was delicious. Worship began as we ate. It was led by an unbelievably talented family; Sean and Lydia Tabb, and children, Brenden, Ashley, Sabrina, Jessamine, Lisa, and Bree. Along with Ashley's husband, Ryan. The piano accompaniment was excellent, as was the singing. After a brief intermission, the play began, using the same musical family. The use of a combination of live and animated parts were fascinating and worked well together. All told it was an excellent night of worship, music, and food.
