"Worst experience ever at Canada Wonderland!"

Worst experience ever. Before was a lots things to say , but now way too much. My kids decideed to go on Halloween hunt to Wonderland, couple 8f days before 31 of October. This year we did not buy passes, before for many tears we has Gold passes each tesr. My kids went first, guards did not allow them to enter saying because they were wearing hoodies and second they need to rent a locker to leave their ver small purses. It was cold outside and i do not understand how their mounth can say such things. Buy the way now they installed tons of lockers to rip people - You need to pay extra 45$ on the top of the ticket to rent the locker for the time you stay there. I had Gold passes for myself and my kids for many years. Kids (16 years old 3 if them) went first and after being not allowed to enter the gate to go the ticket line called me that guards do not allow to enter and demanding to rent a locker. With us- parents- we all entered and went to the ticket line. Stayed in the line almast an hour. Got to the ticket window and another surprise: price for the ticket that you see in theirs ads it is always with catch. Appears to be 2 times more that they promoting in their ads. Just put a small star and play around as you wish. The closer to Halloween , the higher the price. So you have to pay basically double the price than what is in the advertising- number with the star because now is closer to the 31 of October. I decided to buy Gold passes as always did. Again: Better i buy them online, it will be cheapper for you- as per suggestion of sales person. Why i staid in the line for one hour on freezing weather? Of course i did not read what exacly is inluded in Gold pass. Till 2024 in GOLD PASS parking was inluded all the years. Without thinking about such nasty catches - i am buying GOLD PASSES over the phone for 2026. Again: 9.99$ processing fees. Passes are not chip. For what the hell is 10$ on the top you are charging? I understand that you paying for the website and so on. Looks like this not the person just clicking and paying their money, but WONDERLAND STUFF is probably on side of webside is physically digging out my pass. Nonsence! But can you imagine how much money all people are charged to them for each ticket, adds on (especially this year - tons of NEW ADD-ONS which were included before for everyone or even for GOLD PASSES - now you have to pay for regular things) membership each damn time. SUCH A RIPOFF! Lets go further. Finally entered the park. Kids went on side. We adults went in another. And again SUPRISE: in 2024 we went to Halloween hunt- all Helloween spooky shmooky attraction were included, this year- you need to pay extra! Additionally to pay. A lots of ligtings did not work. Performances comparing to 2024 - so poor and not interesting at all. Total diappointment and tons of nerves! Now today- decided maybe to go to Winter Fest which is icluded in the pass for next year. And thinking : I am a Gold pass member, let me see wgst is included in it , vecause after such a nasty experience on Hallo3een, i am alr3ady expecting whats going to be on Winter fest.... AND guess what ? SURPRISE!!!! PARKING starting from 2025 and of course for my next tear GOLD PASS IS NOT INCLUDED! YOU NEED TO BUY PARKING PASS FOR 87$ PLUS 10$ PROCESSING FEES PLUS TAX FOR IT. Basically you need to pay almast the same amount like for another SILVER OR GOLD PASS. For many years was buying this Gold pass because parking was always inluded in the price. Food is overpriced and only junk food you can buy there. Nothing normal and edible is available there to eat. At TIM HORTONS when you buy something points they do mot scan. Starting from 8 pm in the summer only coffee is possible to buy there, french vanilla is always not available, sandwiches they dont do because always evething or many of the ingredients already gone or just saying because they do mot want to prep the meals. Hell know what is going on! And each year it us getting woth and worth, and more and more expensive! This is last year i was buying passes or going with my family there. Same thing i hear from many families and totally aggree!

Canada's Wonderland is a great place to be entertained, with all the amusement rides, shows, games, activities, food, and more. It's been a little while since I've been here and it was my first time in winter. It was cold! We had dinner at an AYCE buffet that was reserved for staff and their guests. Choices included turkey, breaded chicken, noodles, veggies, nachos, and more. The food was decent but our overall favourite was the squash soup - good flavour and perfect for the cold weather. After dinner, we wandered through the park, taking in some of the attractions. I was surprised to see so many of them open at this time of year, including one of the roller coasters. Huge kudos to the staff who were out in the frigid weather, especially in their costumes, and unheated attractions! Although WE were frozen, guests were having a great time, ice skating, enjoying all the attractions, especially the daily tree lighting show, and the food, even the frozen drinks! We had a great time but I could/should have dressed warmer. Next time...

"Very bad experience at Wonderland Tonight"

My family got kicked out of wonderland today. The experience left us feeling humiliated and unfairly removed from the park. The incident occurred at Canterbury Theater around 5:20 PM. My family (including two 9-year-old children and my wife) and I had waited approximately 30 minutes in line for the 5:30 PM Tinker’s Toy Factory show. After we entered and took our seats in the second row, I briefly stepped out to use the restroom located outside the theater. In my hurry, I was unaware that a return pass was required to re-enter. When I returned around 5:25 PM, I was denied entry by the on-site supervisor, Payton, because I did not have a return pass. I explained that my wife and children were inside waiting for me and that I already had a seat. Despite this, she refused to make an exception. Another supervisor, Julian, joined the conversation but also declined to assist. Shortly after, my wife came to the door looking for me. I told her to return to our children and enjoy the show. Moments later, my son appeared at the door alone. This caused me great concern about his safety. I questioned why a young child was allowed to leave the theater unsupervised. I asked to speak with a manager, but Payton stated that because I raised my voice, she would not assist me further. I admit I was frustrated, but my concern was for my child’s safety and the lack of clear communication regarding the return pass policy. At the sametime we were talking, my son went out the theater door again without anyone stopped him. Eventually, security and police were called. After explaining the situation, I was told that because I raised my voice, my entire family would be escorted out of the park. We complied quietly, but the experience was deeply upsetting. To summarize: I was unable to rejoin my family for the show due to unclear return pass requirements. "Terrible Customer Service"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed November 03, 2025
After saving up her money, my daughter purchased a day ticket on the Canada’s Wonderland website for October 23. The day before she planned to go, she discovered the park was scheduled to be closed — even though their system still allowed her to purchase a ticket for that date. She requested a refund, but the park refused, citing a strict no-refund policy, and only offered to transfer the ticket to a date in 2025. Since we don’t live near Canada’s Wonderland, she will not have the opportunity to use the ticket this year. Despite multiple follow-ups, Canada’s Wonderland has been dismissive and continues to refuse a refund for a ticket they should never have sold in the first place. If you ordered a product online and learned it was unavailable, wouldn’t you expect a refund? Canada’s Wonderland has taken no responsibility for selling a ticket on a day they were closed. Their policy is inflexible, and their customer service has been extremely disappointing. It's unfortunate that a young guest trying to enjoy a day at the park is penalized due to their system error. If you're planning on going here, be very careful as they have terrible customer service.

"Halloween Haunt - now all about the money!"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed October 31, 2025
Every year I enjoy taking my son and nephews to Halloween Haunt. This year however, I was really disappointed with the process and the cost. I paid online for 3 tickets. We don’t do the rides so I don’t have a seasons pass. I got to the park, paid extra for the Conjuring Universe, then walked to the far side of the park to find out that I needed to get a wrist band before I could do the mazes. We walked back and had to stand in a long line to get wrist bands to walk all the way back. No one appeared very helpful, as I would have assumed someone at the gate would have told me. I asked a staff where I could buy tickets for the Conjuring, and was simply told ‘by the mountain’. We paid a lot of money for this experience, and I feel like it just wasn’t worth it this year. **side note - the ghouls, ghosts and zombies did a great job at the scares!**
