"DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY."
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

This was the worst hotel at which I have ever stayed. There was no hot water the first night and the room was filthy. There was mold in the shower and dirt hanging off the ceiling fan and lamps. The front desk staff and management were completely unhelpful. I NEVER write reviews, but feel obligated to let potential travelers know just how bad this was.

"This Hotel Is Trash — Avoid It Like the Plague"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed May 08, 2025 NEW
If you’re looking for a place to stay, do yourself a favor and pick literally anywhere else. This hotel — and its management — is absolute trash. I’m a Hilton Diamond member, not through some credit card gimmick, but because I practically live in hotels. I booked a King One-Bedroom Suite, corner room, away from the elevator — exactly what I needed for a weeklong work trip. I checked in Monday. All was fine… until Wednesday night when I returned from work and found a paper note jammed in my door saying I’d be required to change rooms the next day. No call. No warning. Just a note. And let’s be clear: there was zero mention on the Hilton app or site during booking that the property was undergoing renovations. No banner. No heads-up at check-in. Nothing. That’s deceptive, plain and simple. Why was I being moved? Because they decided, mid-week, to begin floor renovations early. That’s not my problem. You knew my reservation in advance. Changing your internal schedule after check-in is 100% on you. So I got up early, packed everything, pushed back work, and went down to get my new room — only to be told it wouldn’t be ready for another hour. So I wasted time and disrupted my workday for nothing. You offered to move my belongings? Absolutely not. I’ve had things stolen in hotels before, and I don’t even let housekeeping in anymore. My Do Not Disturb sign is always up for a reason. Later that day, I was promised the same suite on a different floor — renovated, identical layout, same location — and that it would be held until I returned. That didn’t happen either. When I got back after a 12-hour shift, I was given a smaller room near the elevator — not a one-bedroom suite, not what I booked. So, back down to the front desk again. More excuses, more wasted time. Eventually, I was moved into my third room during a single stay. Same suite style, but now sandwiched between two noisy neighbors. And this so-called “renovated” room? Total joke. • Breaker box wide open • Thermostat sensor broken off • Shower pressure so weak I’ve had a stronger piss stream • Sink doesn’t drain Oh — and then you scheduled dumpster removal at 1:30 AM, which went on for half an hour and woke me up — and I’m a sound sleeper. And let’s get one thing straight: putting up new wallpaper and throwing in fresh carpet isn’t a “renovation.” It’s a cosmetic cover-up, and it doesn’t excuse the chaos you’ve caused. I’m supposed to stay three more nights. You already got me for tonight, but I’m checking out in the morning. I’m done. There are plenty of hotels in the area that respect their guests. This property is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand. Avoid it like the plague.

"Disappointed and went home instead"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed March 12, 2025
Hoped to spend 4 days here as a getaway with my partner, but we felt unconfortable as soon as we checkeg into room 602. We were disgusted to find smears on the wall, gunk on the kitchen cabinets, goop on the TV stand, and food on carpet. The walliaper had been knifed open behind the bedroom TV, the carpet was delaminated from the baseboard, and somw kitchen drawers wouldn't open without getting stuck on each other. We understand the hotel is currently renovating, and hasn't gotten to floor 6 yet.... but that still doesn't excuse leaving food and smears around the room. Staff offered us a different room, but no discount. Paid a 1-night penalty to cancel our stay and go home, where at least we know the walls, floor, and kitchen are clean.

"Solid budget accommodation for groups and multi-family"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed November 23, 2024
Solid motel for multi family and group stays. Staff were very accommodating and responsive. Common areas and rooms were clean and generally in good repair. When we phoned to get a lightbulb replaced and for some trouble with a thermostat they came quickly and repaired. Rooms are basic but well appointed, including with fridges and mini kitchens with pots/pans, etc (at least our room). Rooms and fixtures are in good repair but a bit worn - wall/paint scuffs and dents, furniture wear and small stains, etc. It’s clear this is a busy property that sees a lot of guests. Pool area was enjoyed by kids, gym is relatively well equipped and seldom used so worth making use of if you can. Breakfasts and happy hour meal/snack (1x weekly) are offered complimentary on the main floor. There is a fair amount of road noise from the highway, even though windows don’t open. This may bother you, depending on what sort of environment you’re used to for sleeping. Well situated to a number of nearby attractions including Canada’s Wonderland, trains into TO and elsewhere, shopping and restaurants. You’ll likely still need a car though. First floor rooms are for smokers and the smell - even in the hallway outside the rooms - is very strong. Unless you’re a smoker avoid these rooms. If you’re in need of budget accommodation for larger groups or multi-family this is probably your place.
