Alamo Inn and Suites in Anaheim, CA

Had a great stay! The room was spacious and clean. Walk to the parks was about 20 minutes. There’s a liquor/convenience store down the street that saved us when we needed snacks and an Italian place we ordered pizza.

If I could, I would leave a zero star rating. We booked to stay here and the room was paid in full for us before we arrived. Reservation had my name on it as well. Staff emailed telling us that the person who booked it had to be with us to check in. We called and spoke with the manager and explained my name was on there as well and it was paid for by family as part of a Christmas gift. All was figured out and well. Now 3 weeks later we fly in and go to check in and they absolutely refuse to let us check in. Different manager involved and we did everything that was asked of us for proof of who paid for the room. Even got the person on video call with ID in hand. They literally refused us check in after their system messed up and wouldn't work with the form they wanted filled out. They were not accommodating or understanding at all. Kicked us out with kids without a care in the world. WORST experience ever. They could careless even though they had everything they needed and not to mention we had already worked it out with a manager almost a month prior. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

This business has no compassion OR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILL!!! My sister and I flew in from Arkansas/Texas to bring our kids to Disney for a quick 3 day Christmas trip. My brother in law paid for the room a month in advance for us and named my sister as the check-in person. At the time of the booking a member of management reached out to us via email to let us know the card holder had to be present at check-in. To which my sister responded that he would not be coming and the room had already been paid for. We were told PER MANAGEMENT that it would be ok this time but next time the cardholder has to be present. She was also able to see our account and see that we stay here often. The day we arrived Neydi Hernandez was the manager working and REFUSED to let us check in stating it was against policy. We tried to explain that we talked to a manager a MONTH ago and she approved it. Her only response was that the other manager was not working that day, we had her and she was saying no. We showed her the email and she stated it didn’t matter. We asked for the GM, she told us she had already contacted them and they said no as well. We asked did she explain to the GM that we had a previous approval from his other manager? She stated yet again NO because she was who was there and we were dealing with her. If you have ever flown in for a quick trip to Disney you know time is of the essence. We wasted 2 hours standing in this lobby with our kids trying to resolve this issue. She then decided that if the card holder would sign an e-sign card authorization through email that would be ok. The email was sent and when filing out the form it asked for the card information used to book the room. My brother in law filled everything out and tried to submit it. He got an immediate decline error because THEY TRIED TO RUN THE CARD AGAIN!!!!!! This room was over 500 dollars!! The card declined (thank God) and would not allow the form to be submitted. Neydi assured us they were not trying to run the card because the room was already paid for. We logged into my brother in laws email and filled it out again in-front of her and showed her the error it was giving for a declined card because yes it tried to run the card AGAIN!!! She stated the system shouldn’t be doing that and asked if she could take a picture to send to the GM to which we absolutely agreed. She then proceeded to tell us our card was the problem not their system so we still could not check in. She also refused to CALL the GM, she would only text him. She stated he was busy and could not be bothered at that time, but yet he was texting her. No compassion, no concern just arrogance and evil. We were stranded with 3 kids and no place to stay! It’s not easy to replace an over 500 dollar room, especially when they get 7-10 business days to refund your money! We have recommended this hotel to so many friends as we are all annual pass holders and have always stayed here. But we will NEVER stay here again nor will we recommend it!

I stayed at the Alamo Inn last summer of 2025 for my semi annual Disneyland trip and my experience was so wonderful that I returned in December 2025. Great hotel walking distance from Downtown Disney. Planning my next stay for July 2026.

The hotel is perfect for location. it is walkable to Disney and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly plus quick check in. The rooms were clean and spacious, but you might want to bring your own pillows the hotel pillows are very thin and the bed was a little hard for my comfort other than that it was perfect. I stay at this hotel every year and I will continue to stay there in the future.
