Do not believe the reviews you see online , this hotel has been a nightmare from check in , to room cleaning , to staff service & general amenities . I booked this hotel for my family 15 months in advance we a party of 17 people In total spanning 6 rooms for 16 nights across the Christmas & new years period . Based on the YouTube videos & positive reviews online . However beautiful the hotel is in photos & videos , doesn’t make up for the fact of the awful treatment we’ve all received here during the longest 16 nights of my life . Let’s start at the beginning check in at 7pm Orlando time so not midnight or really late , the person we had checking us in took 50 minutes per room which is a joke payments went through easy , there was another lady on check in who seemed slightly faster but still not great . First issue the new Dutch cafe , they let you Que for 30-45 mins for food , no signs stating they don’t accept cash at any on particular register of there choice , you get to the front order & then they say no you have to use a different register & point blank walk away instead of running it through a different register or asking a member of staff , so rude this happened 5 times & counting ( I still have 2 nights left in this nightmare of a hotel ) . After reporting to the manager they kept saying very contradictingly it won’t happen again , but it did / does . We’re get onto the “ star concierge service “ & the “ manager “ soon as both of these outlets , are also rude , condescending & have no desire to resolve any problems. House keeping - 3 separate occasions , we came back from a long day at the parks , room was not cleansed no fresh towels or beds made , when I call the “‘star concierge “ who put me through to a manager who again says sorry it won’t happen again . It takes house keeping an additional hour to arrive then hour to clean the room simply not good enough . We’ve paid a lot of money to stay here & expect our room to be cleaned. On the cleanliness they clean it is debatable as there’s been hair in the shower for a week they dont clean the shower floor clearly , they have had an empty bottle of soap on the floor showing them it needs replacing they also have left that & I’ve asked 3 times for new bottles of soap . Again ignored . Then the AC ( air conditioning) I leave off as it isn’t needed to be on , I’ve left hand written notes on the control panel , ignored , I’ve told the manager they’ve put a request not to touch the AC , ignored . They then say we will get an engineer up as it’s automatic , which is a lie as the days they haven’t cleaned the room it’s remained off funny enough . The manager - who is rude , unhelpful , smerks the whole time your trying to explain these issues ( I’ve now given up telling them about them ) but friends & family who were booked here have cancelled & gone to other hotels thankfully . He’s got con artists hiring cars that stink of weed in his hotel lobby , he says it’s not his company fair enough but your running the hotel & your letting 2 idiots , that are literally conning people stand in your lobby next to your “‘star concierge “ who are not helpful in anyway either . Overall I would not wish this hotel on my worse enemy to waste a Christmas holiday in such a miserable , rundown , every member of staff who are rude & unhelpful & cannot do the job that they are positioned in . "Excellent hotel in Universal"

We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights. It was our first time bringing the children 9 & 13 to Florida. I have to say the hotel was excellent & I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Universal area! It was so convenient, from the water taxi’s to being able to walk to the water park & CityWalk with all the restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel, the Christmas decor was amazing, the entertainment around the pool was just right & the staff were amazing with the kids. We stayed in a family suite on the 7th floor. I was slightly disappointed with the lack of storage for the children’s clothes in the lounge area where they had set up a sofa bed ie there was NO storage. Also they had a tiny fridge in the space where a full size fridge would fit which I thought was annoying? The parking charges, I’m not a fan of $37 per day! But I see all hotels charge for parking, when you have a daily fee of $35 to enter the parks it’s a lot over a couple of weeks holiday.

"Staff EXCELLED in attitude and service!"

OUTSTANDING staff!! We loved the hotel and all the amenities but it was the staff that made our stay incredible. Rooms were spotless. Anything you needed in the room, they brought to the door immediately. The staff on the phone at room service were so cheerful and professional. Always taking time to answer questions and make sure our requests were met...and THEN some!

My husband and I treated our two oldest grandchildren and their parents to five days at the Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort this past week. The rooms were perfect and in a very convenient location in the hotel. The staff was great at the front desk, at the Universal guest desk, the room service providers, the cleaning people. The water taxi to City Walk and the parks was very convenient and there was barely a wait at all. The coffee the hotel serves is very good (often hotel coffee is not) and the food options were excellent We ate several times at the downstairs restaurant Amatista Cookhouse. There was something for the adults and the grandchildren. The hotel was clean and well maintained. My son in law had an issue where his tickets had been stamped twice over at Epic and the Universal customer service in the hotel quickly resolved the issue so he could use the park to park tickets as planned. My only caution is that the cleaning staff often parked outside our door and talked very loudly in the early mornings. I don't know if they were trying to get us to move on out so they could clean the room or if they were unaware of how much noise they were making talking and laughing. It was just a small irritation. We will be back here in the future with the rest of the grandchildren. It was a lovely stay.
