Located in Downtown San Diego, The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter features spa services and a swimming pool. A 55-inch flat-screen TV is included in all guestrooms. Each guestroom is furnished with a refrigerator and a coffee machine. A laptop safe and a work desk are also provided. Eco-friendly LED and CFL lights, along with solar shades, are featured in each room. Rooms with balconies and city views are available.

Guests can stop in for libations at the bar, which offers a lounge menu, specialty cocktails, and craft beer. A Downtown San Diego Restaurant serves modern, Southern California cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For quick meals and snacks, Ingredients Grab ’n’ Go offers pre-made sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and specialty drinks

Guests can relax in the outdoor pool or work out in the fitness center. A business center and concierge services are available. Spa services, including massages, are offered by Pure Body Spa. Advance reservations are required.

Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo are a 10-minute drive away. PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres professional baseball team, is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Parking: Valet parking is available for USD 60 per day per vehicle. Underground parking valet is only USD 10 per hour or USD 60 overnight - garage height clearance is 8 feet.

Pet Policy: Pets are welcome (dogs only). A non-refundable pet fee of $25 per night is due upon arrival. A maximum of 50 lbs and only 1 pet per room is allowed. Please notify the hotel prior to the arrival date if traveling with a pet. Pet-friendly rooms are limited.

We were so excited to stay here for our 1 year anniversary. Unfortunately, due to the government shut down we were unable to make our stay. Since this was booked through a 3rd party we tried for days to get this resolved with the hotel and the 3rd party. While the 3rd party was more than willing to assist us. The manager, Laura, refused to assist. What was going to be a wonderful 1 year celebration has turned into a NIGHTMARE. Going forward we will chose to stay at ANY hotel except for a Westin or any Marriott for that matter. The rudeness and unhelpfulness we experienced during this transaction was appalling. We even tried getting contact information for a supervisor and were informed there would not be one available and we could not have their contact information. If you want to have a good experience, stay ANYWHERE but here!

Was here for nine days for two back-to-back tradeshows. The experience I had was top-tier. Starting with the rooms, phenomenal. Very spacious with a place to sit and work near the window. Small pet peeves: Bathroom was not a walk-in. It also drives me crazy when the TV would just cut off on its own. Hate that, especially when I’m trying to watch a game. Again, these things are personal preference and shouldn’t detract from a five-star rating. Main reason being: The service was excellent! Everyone from top to bottom damn near broke their necks to ensure guests were happy. Marjorie (spelling?) at the front desk got me checked in extremely quickly and was pleasant to speak with. I got coffee everyday from the shop near the front desk and Selena just knew how to put a smile on peoples’ faces. Our interactions were brief but always pleasant. Adam was awesome at the bar, but Erica and Kayla were absolute rockstars. I never felt unseen around them. Quick, personable, and crazy good drink-makers. Last but certainly not least, the manager Cynthia was a straight up beast. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone just be everywhere at once like that. Top-tier. So glad I picked this hotel!

I come in for coffees or other drinks several times per week and every time I do Selena always makes the best drinks and provides amazing service. She always has such a wonderful demeanor and is extremely pleasant and always offering to see what she can do to make my day better Thank you so much Selena!!!

I had gotten tickets to see Henry Cho as an early, (surprise), birthday present for my husband. Even though we live in Pacific Beach, which is about 20 minutes away, I thought it would be nice to stay Downtown for the evening. There are many really nice hotels in the area, (the show was at the Balboa Theater). I researched the hotels and restaurants in the area, but kept coming back to the Westin. I am so glad we chose it! We are Platinum Marriott Members, but opted to pay instead of using Points. We stayed in a Premium King room, upper floor. The view was wonderful. There were two windows on either side of the main window, which opened just enough to enjoy the cool temps of the evening. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows had just the right amount of firmness & softness. The room was spacious, which we appreciated. We ran the air conditioning throughout the night and it wasn't too noisy. We had dinner at the restaurant, which in itself was a wonderful experience. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest for a while, I am hesitant to order Salmon in San Diego. Our Waiter convinced me, and it was the best Salmon I've had since leaving Portland. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and not over salted. The baby potatoes had no blemishes. Breakfast was even better. We opted for the Eggs Benedict which had a citrus hollandaise sauce. So delicious! We will be back for the food and perhaps to stay, enjoy Downtown and another show.

I had an amazing stay. Lexly welcomed me and recognized my Platinum Status and upgraded me to a Premium Room with Partial Bay view. Her smile was contagious and stayed with me my entire stay. Suzanne was so warm and inviting while explaining the 2 Hour Harbour Tour that was absolutely fabulous. I will definitely come back to stay at this property.
