"Would not stay again!"

We chose this Hotel as we stayed there in September 2021 for a family wedding and enjoyed the amenities it had to offer; however, the hotel has declined since this last visit. Hot tub that was there in 2021 was gone (need to update website picture that shows it's still there), breakfast options were unappealing, cold and mostly grab and go items that were precooked and packaged. Bananas were 1 day away from being banana bread! Buffet was not restocked when items ran low. Had to keep asking front desk to stock pool and fitness room with towels. Would not stay there again if we need to go to Richmond for another family event. The plus side was it was a good location and front desk staff were helpful, friendly and professional.

"In need of a refresh"

I couldn't remember where I stayed the last time I visited this client, but the minute I walked in I realized it wasn't here. The Courtyard around the corner is much nicer. It's fine. The whole place is in need of a refresh, big time. The room is decently sized and fine since it's just me and only for a few days. Not super clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is helpful. I'd come back if they updated the place.

Please Read:: The Police Also Stated THIS IS A BAD SECTION OF TOWN AND PEOPLE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS AREA SHOULD NOT BE THERE Went on Line to Book Reservation Through Marriot Arrived at Approx 3:30 Was Greeted by A Gentlemen Named Benjiman. As I Pronounced His Name, He Corrected Me Several Time Stating He Was from Brazil an Americans Were Butchering His Name. My Girlfriend and I Are Senior Citizens and Were Dring For 14 Hrs. From Florida and Were Very Tired We Settled in Agot Take Out from A Mexican Place and About 5:30 The Adjacent Person knocked on our door and was Complaining About Noise. He Seamed Intoxicated and I Asked Him to Return to His Room. I Went Down to The from Desk to Aware Them of The Incident Ask I Was Speaking to The Front Desk This Person Showed Up I Went to My Room and We Were in Bed By 6:30 Pm. At 7:00Pm the Police Were Ther at Our Door And was Asking Us to Leave Because the Front Desk Requested Both Parties to Be Removed. The Police Also Stated THIS IS A BAD SECTION OF TOWN AND PEOPLE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS AREA SHOULD NOT BE THERE. The Brazilian Benjiman Asst Manager Took the Easy Route and Call the Police Instead of Moving A Party To Another Room. Spoke To Juan A Manager the Next Day and He Agreed the Actions by the hotel Staff Were Uncalled for And Unprofessional. Juan Stated That They Would Credit My Marriot Account 10000 Points Should Take About 2 Weeks Which Has Been Over a Month. Another Failure Stay Clear If This Hotel Bad News All the Way Around

"Just ok"

This is a worn out, well-used establishment in need of renovations and deep cleaning. Our bed was lumpy, surfaces were not wiped down, the room was dark, there weren’t enough outlets, and the carpet near the bed was full of hair, dust bunnies, and crumbs. (On checkout, staff shrugged and gave us some Marriott points like they’d been doing it every day and couldn’t care less about actually addressing any issues….) It’s a convenient location for families attending events at the convention center, hence it’s still getting business, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek this place out again… The standout was the lovely woman managing the breakfast area. Super kind and helpful, made the kids laugh- just a lovely person.

"Poor housekeeping and maintenance"

We echo the other recent reviews. I am a loyal platinum member, but this property feels unclean. Dirty elevators, dirt accumulating in corners. Room housekeeping dismal: bath gel completely empty; one unfolded bath towel for two people; no tea and one coffee capsule for two people; disposable cups not wrapped. The rest of the room was maintained in the same poor manner, including dirty bathtub and mold around fixtures.
