Description

Experience over 100 acres of thrills and adventure at Six Flags Over Georgia! With over 45 rides, heart-pounding roller coasters, live shows and seasonal festivals like Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, the Six Flags Atlanta Georgia theme park offers a full day of fun for the entire family.

Located off I-20 just west of Atlanta, Six Flags Over Georgia is known as the "thrill capital of the South." Among over a dozen of its thrill rides, thrill-seekers won't want to miss Twisted Cyclone. This classic wooden structure is combined with a modern, steel track for multiple inversions and a smoother, more thrilling riding experience.

New for 2025: Launching this year is the Georgia Gold Rusher, the new gold standard for fun. The first of its kind free-spinning gondola riding experience on Georgia Gold Rusher delivers the ultimate thrill combo of a high-speed, high-elevation ride with twists, turns, and exciting water features.

Take a swirling and dizzying journey on two villainous thrill rides in Gotham City. Feel the lash of the CATWOMAN Whip™, a seven-story and adrenaline-pumping wheel that spins horizontally and vertically. And jump into a pod on POISON IVY Toxic Spin™ for a topsy-turvy experience.

Pandemonium is the perfect mix of mayhem and adrenaline. Towering at a staggering 15 stories tall, Pandemonium is the tallest swinging pendulum ride in the Southeast. This impressive giant disk reaches speeds up to 70 miles per hour as it whips back and forth – higher and higher giving riders an exhilarating riding experience as they soar high above the Atlanta city skyline.

Don't miss JUSTICE LEAGUE™: Battle for Metropolis, the first interactive ride with the 3D animation and a 4D ride experience; SkyScreamer, a swing ride that spins around a 242-foot tower at speeds up to 40 mph; Mind Bender, a triple-loop roller coaster; Dare Devil Dive, a coaster with a steeper-than-vertical plunge and three inversions; and Thunder River, a white-water rafting adventure.

Among its other exhilarating coasters are Superman™: Ultimate Flight, which turns riders upside down in a pretzel-shaped loop; Batman™: The Ride, which carries visitors through loops and a corkscrew spin; The Georgia Scorcher, said to be one of the region's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coasters; and the towering Goliath, that sits at over 200 feet tall and travels up to 70 mph. Adults and kids alike will enjoy the surprises in Monster Mansion.

DC™ Super Friends and Bugs Bunny Boomtown are two areas designed for kids that have 12 rides and attractions including a bouncing drop tower, a small coaster, an interactive water ride, and a Ferris wheel. For those seeking water fun, Hurricane Harbor (a separately-ticketed attraction) offers the award-winning Tsunami Surge and massive Calypso Bay Wave Pool.

Be sure to bring a swimsuit and a towel and check out Hurricane Harbor water park (not included in Six Flags ticket); changing facilities are available on site. Hurricane Harbor is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

In the fall, experience #NothingScarier than Fright Fest and then return for the holiday season and #NothingMerrier than Holiday In The Park..

"SIX FLAGS IS NOT SAFE - ZERO CONCERN FOR CUSTOMER SAFETY"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed July 22, 2025 NEW
SIX FLAGS OVER GA IS NOT SAFE! My son and some friends went to the park on 7/21/25. When they left at park close, 2 of the young ladies that they were with were accidentally locked out of their vehicle. This was at 8pm. They flagged down security for help. Security came over, looked at the vehicle, and then LEFT them in the deserted parking lot for over 2 hours while they waited on a locksmith. They NEVER returned to check on them! Their website states "The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is our absolute highest priority and we invest the greatest amount of our resources into our maintenance and safety programs." Well frankly I call BS on that! Luckily my son and his friends were gentlemen enough to stay with them, but that is not a safe situation for ANYONE to be in. I'm guessing security wanted to go home, with ZERO disregard for their patrons. I tried to contact Six Flags Over GA to voice my concerns but OF COURSE you cannot talk to a live person. You get a bot and a "case number". I cannot get through to a human being, because they DO NOT CARE about their customers and the SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS IS NOT A CONCERN! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I'm beyond grateful that those young men and women got home safely but if it had gone a different way, that'd be on YOU, Six Flags! And I promise, not all press is good press!

"Really fun if you like swimming with goose poop"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

Remember the Six Flags of your youth? It's still here. Like walking into 1990. It feels dated and sad. If you plan to go with your young children and get to Hurricane Harbor, it will take 20 minutes of walking in scorching heat to get there. If you plan to try and leave at any point, there will be no employees who actually can tell you how to get out. Person after person gave us the wrong directions, and we ended up literally climbing an exit to a roller coaster at the end of a gift shop because someone told us that was the way out! There were no exit signs that should have been everywhere, and clearly marked. As for Hurricane Harbor - our main reason for going. It should be shut down. There was goose poop in the pool, and instead of of evacuating, they just had someone in there with a big pool brush pushing it out - or something? I have no idea. How can you just have a pool full of people with geese poop everywhere and consider that normal? I thought we had found it, but it turns out they were already pushing it out of other parts of the pool, which means they just expected us to swim with it and not be forewarned. When I asked - they told me it happens all the time and there's not much they can do about it. WHAT? Last I checked poop in the pool of any sort is a major health hazard. Not to mention the wave pool hasn't been working for weeks and the water - which we would have never stepped foot in if someone had actually warned us there was goose poop in it - was freezing. One extra star for the lovely women who drove the tram.

"HORRIBLE!!!"

Six flags sucks!! Even my 9 year old thought so and he's usually easy to entertain!! We went yesterday 5/24/25 and it was the WORST experience we've ever had! The fast pass is a rip off, they don't give wrist bands anymore so its really difficult to use and over priced....we paid $160 each.....it was a waste.....and they will not give a refund even though the app was glitching and we couldn't use it....they didnt care and offered no other alternative......the dining pass....HA.....forget it....the food is awful and you only can get the tasteless burgers or chicken tenders and it does not include rhe drink!!! Every restaurant there have THE SAME FOOD! You have no other options! Kids run the entire facility and dont have a clue about ANYTHING!! The customer service is horrible....the girl in the fast pass office was chewing gum so hard, she could hardly speak to answer our questions! Half the rides were closed down or having "difficulties"! They are money hungry....the accommodations doesn't equal to a fraction of what you spend! There is no WOW factor at all, the place looks run down and unkept! One of the restaurants smelled so bad I felt sick! Oh and after climbing 100 hills you are worn out....I could go on and on and on and on but I hope you get the picture! This was my 1st visit, I have been wanting to visit 6 flags for many many years....we'll its off the bucket list and I will NOT EVER return! If you're planning to visit do yourself a favor and find some where else to go!
